"Nevermind," Jisung said, letting go of her hand. "Pretend I didn't say anything."

"I don't know," Haewon said, ignoring what he asked. "I guess maybe it would be nice," she said grabbing his hand again. "We lowkey already act like we are."

"But we probably never will," he said, looking away from her.

"But, like, if we want to..." Haewon really didn't know why she was saying these things. She really had to stop.

"I-I don't k-know. If you w-want," Jisung stuttered for the first time.

"I-" but before Haewon could finish, a phone call interrupted them.

"Hello?" Jisung said, going back to his cold demeanor. "Fine. I will. I'm with Haewon."

When she heard her name, she turned towards Jisung.

"Okay, I'll bring her too," he ended the call, and said, still facing forward, "It was Jeno. He wants to meet up at his house to do homework or something. You can come if you want."

"Sure. It would be fun," Haewon said.

Jisung smiled at her and turned to face her, only realizing how close their faces were.

"S-Sorry," Haewon stuttered, letting go of his hand and standing a bit farther from him.

Jisung walked closer to her and grabbed her hand. Haewon could feel her heart beating faster.

"So, let's go now?" he asked, smirking at the blush that was growing on Haewon's cheeks.

"Sure," she managed to see, looking anywhere but at him.

Haewon nodded, holding his hand too.

"I'm guessing you walked too?" he asked her.

Haewon nodded her head, "Yeah. I did."

"Jeno's house isn't that close, and taking a bus might not be safe right now," Jisung said.

"Why not?" Haewon asked, confused.

"There's going to be a lot of people on it today, so it'll be really crowded," Jisung finished.

"Wait, since when did you care about my safety?" Haewon asked him.

"You're annoying, you know that?" Jisung said to her, leading her to the crosswalk. "But the bus is probably the only option we have at the moment."

"You know what else I am?" Haewon asked him.

"What?" he said.

"I'm yours."

Haewon didn't get a reply from Jisung. He just glanced at her, making her instantly regret saying what she did. She thought it was cute, but maybe it wasn't.

"I-" but before she could finish, Jisung broke out into laughter.

Haewon waited until he was done, getting slightly annoyed.

"Ignore what I said earlier," she told him, shaking her head.

"How do I forget it though?" he said to her. But stopped laughing when he saw her expression. "Hey, I was just joking," he told her, his expression softening.

"Yeah, sure you were. You can continue laughing. I don't mind," Haewon said.

"But I actually thought that was kinda cute," he told her, causing Haewon to smile. "But I'm cuter," he finished, causing Haewon to scoff.

"Keep thinking that," she said, playfully rolling her eyes.

"I don't want to go to Jeno's house. I'm tired," Jisung said, ignoring Haewon's statement.

"But homework-"

"Homework isn't even important. It's just the tests," Jisung interrupted her.

"Ugh, fine. I'll see you tomorrow then," she said, about to turn away.

"Where are you going? We can hang out at my house. Plus I can help you with your homework. And maybe we'll do something else," Jisung said, a smirk on his face.

Haewon's eyes lit up. "Are we really going to stay up and watch Harry Potter movies?"

"YES, HOW DID YOU KNOW-  I mean sure..." Jisung looked away, noticing  Haewon's smile becoming bigger. Yes, maybe he did have a soft side, But it's not like wanted to let anyone know about it.

"Let's go," she said excitedly, walking in the direction of their apartment building.

And for the first time, Jisung was actually becoming soft. And maybe it was for a specific angel.

I hope everyone is having a good day/night : )
