Chapter 33: The Mission

No One's POV
The four, plus four exceeds, walked through the strangely quiet street, towards the mayor's home.

"Crystal, be ready. Something isn't right." Y/n warned her responsible and mature exceed.

"Of course my child. I sensed it too. You keep an eye out for the children at least."

"Mmn."

Just when y/n felt a tinge of power from all sides, purple runes shot up and locked all of them in.

"It's a trap!" A bunch of hooded figures appeared out of nowhere and started to attack the small group.

Dark and Crystal turned into their human forms and formed a small circle with Y/n and Kent, circling the two children and their exceeds in the center.

"We can fight too! Don't keep us here!" Sting yelled though y/n paid no attention to him.

"Sting, we don't have to be a burden to them. " Rouge gently put his hand on Sting's shoulder, calming him down.

"Fine. " He pouted and turned away.

"Dancing Flames!"

"Celestial Rain!"

"Ice Make, Eagles!"

Attacks were thrown all around until a tall figure wearing a hood appeared.

"Silence!" He ordered and all the bad guys backed off.

"Boss."

"What's taking you so long! If I knew I would've done it myself!" A wave of black swerved towards the bad guys as the figure waved his hand.

This man.... Why is he so familiar? I can't be......  Y/n started to sweat as her face turned pale.

"N/n? What's wrong?" Kent noticed her anxiousness and asked.

"Dark, Crystal. Bring he kids away." Her voice was grave and serious.

"Y/n-Nee, no! We won't disturb you! We can take care of ourselves!"

"Child, Dark and I can fight! We can protect you if things go worse!"

"I said go! Teleportation!" The h/c girl shot magic at the six and sent them away.

"Kent-San, I'm sorry that you'd have to face this with me. The teleportation spell can only take that many people at the moment."

"Y/n? What's happening? What's wrong?!" He screamed.

"Kent Azura. Take care of yourself. This isn't someone you should mess with. Someone who's betrayed my parent's trust, my trust. He's very dangerous. The reason why I was gone for 7 years when it only took 1 year for me to complete that quest." A year rolled down her cheek and Kent was shocked.

"Y/n?"

"Celestial Dragon Roar!!!!"

"Dark Pulse!"

Light and Dark clashed against each other as Kent tried his best to contact the guild. However, he failed miserably as the connection was cut off by the runes.

"Dear sweet niece, I finally have you in my grasps." The man smirked evilly.
