You swayed back and forth slowly as you held your 6 month old son Titus  in your arms ,you were watching the Pistons vs Nets game on the large tv in your Living room,Your fiancé Derrick was doing great so far and with 1 quarter left and the Pistons leading by 30 you were confident the boys had it in the bag.

After what seemed like forever ,you finally got your baby boy back to sleep as you cautiously made your way out of the nursery with the baby monitor in your hand ,you walked through the kitchen to pop some popcorn to finish the rest of the game that your sure you missed at least half of the fourth quarter by now ,you held the big bowl stuffing your mouth and plopping down on the white couch in the living room.

Your mouth dropped once your eyes landed on the screen as you turned the volume up watching the playback
"you can see right there where Dinwiddie's elbow made contact with Rose's eye when he went up for the layup as Dinwiddie practically tried to pull him down from the air after bopping the man!"Charles said raising his voice

2 hours later the front door slammed as you put down your half empty box of Mike and Ike's and stood up stretching,you checked the time on your phone showing 12:24am ,Derrick walked in with his hood on before putting his duffle bag down on the floor and taking off the black Nuptse North Face jacket vest that was layered on top of his Nike sweatsuit.

"Hey baby"you stood on your tiptoes grabbing the sides of his hoodie as he leaned down to peck your lips,taking off his hood,showing his black durag,he groaned as if he was in pain as you pulled back looking at his face noticing the sunglasses he had on despite it being dark outside.

"I saw your game"you put your hands on your hips as he grunted before taking off his glasses revealing a black eye
"Damn Derrick"you grabbed his face looking over the bruise
"It's not that deep Selena"he moved away walking past you sitting on the couch taking off his black timberlands

He must've forgotten that when you weren't at home being mommy you're a nurse ,you walked to the kitchen taking an ice pack out of the freezer wrapping it in a napkin before grabbing the Tylenol from the cabinet and a bottle of water from the fridge ,you also grabbed a large plastic container putting everything you needed inside along with the first aid kit

"Did you at least let them look at it to check for injuries?"You sat beside him putting on your glasses as he shook his head before laying his head back popping the Tylenol in his mouth before water falling the water ,you used your phone flashlight searching and feeling around his eye for any reoccurring blood or damage around his socket .

"Mmh"he groaned wincing as you felt right beside his nose that was greenish yellow
"that's your nasal bone"you sat on your knees to get a better angle
"Can you breath okay?"you asked him as he nodded
"Good, it's not broken"you exhaled smally feeling around it as you looked over his face before getting to his eyes to see him looking at you his intensely.
"What?"you laughed a little as your eyebrows furrowed sitting back on your knees crossing your arms over your chest becoming shy,even after all this time of the two of you being together he still had that effect on you.

"How was your day?"he asked turning his head to give you his full attention
"It was decent ,got some work done around the house, did some cleaning,I finally made lemon carlota"you said in a matter of fact tone as he smiled
"How was my lil man?"he asked as you put the ice pack on his eye gently before he swiftly brought you to him ,to straddle as you laughed throwing your head back
"Sheesh  ,that boy is a ball of energy,I missed the whole fourth quarter of your game putting him to sleep only to have him wake back up because I tripped over a damn alphabet block"you smiled as he laughed showing his pearly white teeth

"You okay?"you raked your nude ballerina nails through his beard as he took off the ice pack exhaling while nodding
"Niggas be thinking that they can say and do shit to people and they ain't gon react"he shrugged as you raised your eyebrows
"What did said niggas say?"You readjusted yourself on his lap
"That they could take what's mine"he raised his eyebrow looking up at you
"Me?"you asked shocked
"You and My kid"he said slouching down into the couch holding onto your thigh
"Well you know good and well that ain't gonna happen ,don't even know why you gave that any attention"you played with the zipper on his hoodie

"Shit I wasn't till that muh fucka elbowed my shit"he shook his head and you laughed putting your face in the crook of his neck as he palmed your ass ,you pulled back to see him smirking

"I only love you baby nobody else"you shook your head slowly before pecking his lips 3 times as you held onto the sides of his face
"Mm ,love you more mama"he kissed your bottom lip repeatedly as your rested your elbow on the side of him on the back of the couch
"Speaking of mama's ,your mom called"you bit your tongue as he rolled his eyes sucking on his bottom lip
"What did she say?"he asked rubbing his large hand down your back going under the large t-shirt
"She said to have your big and bad light skin ass call her as soon you walk through those doors"you said trying to contain your laughter folding your lips
