~4 months later~

It has been a loong time since Kate and Paul did not meet each other. Everything since then, wasn't the same. Literally. Not just the realtionship between the two, but, just the next week after the incident, Kate's parents finally noticed what was happening with her. She was losing a lot of weight and it was really obvious. So, she was forced to eat now. But not just anything, but healthy stuff. And with that, and with the weight that she gained, she started looking much better and feeling much more confident about herself. Now, the clothes did not just look good on her, but every single boy in that school wanted her so bad. And no, no true love involved.

It was a nice, sunny spring morning and Kate was leaning against the mirror in the old bathroom, putting some powder on her nose, checking if her freckles were showing. She considered that the light in there was awful, becuase the only bit of light was coming from a window that was high up, for no one to reach. And that was due to another 'John Lennon incident', of him trying to get out of the school on the bathroom window. So, she turned to Mary, her 'best friend'. At least, that is what Mary thought. Because, since the story about Kate's anorexia, everybody was her 'friend', let's call it that way. So, her popularity gained, resulting that Mary really wanted Kate around, more than she ever did before.

"Are my freckles showing?" Kate looked down at Mary's little head. She was so small, yet Kate

was so tall, even without the high heels.

"Nah, you look perfectly fine, darling!" Mary said, half smiling, knowing that she was lying. But, who cared? She wanted to be the best one, and, seriously, Kate was her biggest enemy in this kind of situations. Yet, her partner was still winning.

"Don't call me that way? 'Kay?" She said, looking like she hated to hear 'darling' coming out of her friend's mouth. And she did. It was almost disgusting.

"Yeah, sure" Mary looked down, defeated.

"Good!" Kate said, smiling , showing her perfect straight teeth, while closing her lipstick and putting it in her bag. "Are you ready?" She looked down, just seeing Mary nodding. "A'right then! Straight!" Kate told Mary in a harsh way. And with that, they opened the heavy doors, connecting with the harsh reality, the hallway, while the noise was filling their ears. They started smiling in a fake way, and they definitely hated it. Both of them. At least that was something they had in common, right? Faking their feelings. Did they want it to be over? Yes. Did they have a choice? No. They both smiled at each other, nodded and let Both of the pairs of their black high-heeled shoes touch the ground, and all of the people on the corridor went silent. You could hear them breathing. You could hear their heartbeats. You could smell the hope in the young teenage girls growing, waiting for a smile or to be accepted in the 'group', but that was too late. Because, little did they know that, once you got to meet them, you would hate them. The two girls started walking down the hallway, with their curls bouncing on their shoulders and their perfume filling the air in there . They knew it was strong, but sometimes they just liked to do it their way. They always looked like the perfect match and could feel the eyes on them, analizing their make up, their clothes, but never their soul. Let's just say that the heart was way too hard to reach... . And their eyes were way too afraid to discover what was inside the leather jackets and beige skirts (let's not count the 'hungry' boys here). But thr silence was all broken in bits and pieces that were going to be as dangerous for one of the girls as a piece of broken glass.

"John!"

And no, that was not Kate, neither Mary. It was coming from around the corner. All of the fake smiles faded away, and the curiosity started growing in each one of the souls that was present there.

"Stop! John!" The voice screamed again.

It was coming closer, and closer, and the sound of some footsteps started running around the corner. After that, John Lennon came running, struggling to breath, with a red face and a strain of har covering his chocolatey eyes. He stopped in his tracks, looking around, searching someone's face. Kate looked at him confused, but then, when his eyes met hers, he couldn't help but come straight to her. At first, it was more like he wanted to hug her, so she was a little shocked there, but in not more than just one second, her hid behind her, pushing her further.

"John! Stop it! What did ya do this time, you troublrmaker!?" She asked him looking behind. But he still continued pushing her further."John, I swear if..." she said, still looking behind her.

"Kate, watch out!" John yelled. But it was too late, because someone fell over the both of them. After that, all that Kate knew was John's worried face and then Paul picking her up and handing Mary a notebook.
