"Father, you CANNOT be serious. You JUST became clan leader, and that monster has defeated several elites such as yourself." I argued.

"You're right, and if I am to fall, my position will go to any of you three." He gestured to the brothers and I.

"Why us?" Karna asked.

Judging from their puzzled reactions, he hadn't told them of the secret we unearthed about them all being brothers. I glance at Je'Trya.

"You didn't tell them?"

"Tell us what?" Kritos clicked.

The Elite and I look at each other, Father sighed deeply and looked towards the brothers.

"We recently discovered that you 2 are my siblings."

Kritos and Karna were stunned by the response.

"It's true, I found a painted portrait of you all as a family in grandfather's desk. You're my uncles." I added.

"Yes, and it is to be one of you who takes my place if I fall to this abomination." Je'Trya turned and left the room.

I noticed him leaving and went after him, leaving the stunned Kritos and Karna in the throne room. I had to duck as the doorway was too short for me to walk through at full height, continuing to follow Je'Trya through the much taller corridors.

"Father!" I called.

He halted and turned around.

"Father, PLEASE don't go and do this. You'll for sure end up dead like the other Yautjas that tried to stop it." I pleaded.

"I just might, but as I said, one of you can take my place. I am doing my duty to eliminate the scum of the universe."

"But none of us are ready to take your place. Kritos and Karna don't know how to lead an army, and neither do I!"

Je'Trya huffed, "Xeno, you think I know how to lead? I don't, neither did my father. It's all by trial and error, any of you could handle it. Now if you'll excuse me."

I stood in silence as my father walked away.

For the rest of the night, I couldn't sleep. Je'Trya had left Behsa hours ago with a few of the best Yautja warriors we had, and I have a terrible pit in my stomach from how worried I am. Nova was playing more of Super Mario Odyssey as I lay in my bed, staring at the shiny reflective ceiling. The bag of Mandarin oranges lay at my side as I had already eaten a few, the sweetness of the fruit wasn't NEARLY enough to distract me from my thoughts, nor was the Nintendo switch game. The now fully grown neomorph noticed how quiet I was and paused the game, setting the controller down.

"Mother, are you okay?" She asks.

The use of the word "Mother" surprised me. I sat up and looked right at Nova, meeting her eyeless gaze. Despite have no eyes as far as I could tell, her expression read concerned and worried. I sighed heavily and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"To be honest with you Nova, I am not."

"What's wrong?"

"My father, or your grandfather, has gone back to Yautja Prime to face a beast of unimaginable might and power. I fear that he stands no chance whatsoever against it, or any Yautja for that matter."

"Why is Grandpa going back to fight an unkillable monster?"

"Because it's going on a killing spree and we don't know why."

"Oh..." Nova awkwardly went back to the game.

I sighed and leaned back against my comfy pillow I had stolen from Wal-Mart, looking at the side table. The strange code that Grandfather had given me lay upon its surface. For a strange reason, I felt compelled to pick it up, so I did. Carefully looking upon the code, rereading the symbols it over and over, they still weren't becoming very familiar. They weren't all numbers, they were 7 random letters of the alphabet beneath the numbers.
