I had picked up Alexis as she was currently drinking juice out of her sippy cup to walk upstairs to Nicole's apartment.

I think she already seen me from downstairs because, she started to unlock the door and come outside to take Alexis from me.

" What time do you get off ? " Nicole asked me.

" five. Is there somewhere you have to go before that time? " I replied.

" Yeah. You don't think that you could pick her up around 2:45. Because, I have an doctor's appointment at 3:30pm. " She told me.

" Well, I'll be there at that time. But, is everything alright with you? Because, I can get my mom to watch Alexis, if you're not feeling up to it. " I asked her.

" I can still watch her for you. You know I don't mind girl, but, I really don't know what is going on with me. I have been throwing up almost every morning and just been tired lately. " She replied.

" I don't know what to tell you, Nikki. Those symptoms sound more of you being pregnant than having a cold/flu. But, just call me later on today and let me know how you are doing when you get home. " I said.

" Be good, Lexi. " I bent down to my daughter's level and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

It was just beginning to rain once I finally arrived to work. I put away my purse and walk over to Kimberly sitting in her chair, wanting to hear about her vacation she had took over the summer.

" I am just not ready to enter another relationship yet. I think it is best for me to just focus on me and my daughter for now. " I explained.

" Speaking of Alexis. Have you decided to let your mom watch her or just let her go to daycare? " Kimberly asked.

" Daycare. My mom and I aren't on the best of terms right now. " I replied.

" That sucks. But, hopefully things will work out between the both of you. " She said.

I looked up from my nails and noticing my ex-boyfriend coming in. I had assumed he was looking for me since, I overheard him asking Mercedes about me.

What was he doing here?

" What is all of this about? " I asked, wondering why he decides that now he wants to be back in a relationship with me.

" Nothing. I just wanted to let you know that I am still here, if you need anything. Besides, I know you're not passing up white chocolate covered strawberries. " Dalvin said.

" Thank you.. I guess. " I said.
