Emma was the first one out of the car. Charlotte was forced to stay behind to go over the rules with her father before she was able to slide out of the vehicle. Charlotte shyly joined Emma's side as the two walked towards the entrance.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so excited! You have no idea how thankful I am for inviting me! I owe you big time!" Emma rejoiced, squealing. The blonde smiled before shaking her head, replying, "I-It's okay. You d-don't have to o-owe me a-anything. T-Th-This is my p-present to y-you."
"You seriously are the best! Doing something this extraordinary for me even if we don't really know each other! But, I'll have to figure out your birthday then we can go out and do something you like," Emma said.
Charlotte didn't have time to reply when the guy asked her for tickets. The short girl showed the man their V.I.P tickets before they were shown to their seats. Emma was the first to sit, barely able to hold still in her seat. Charlotte couldn't help but blush once she sat down next to her crush.
Her eyes were drawn to the side and felt her heart rate speed up. This was her chance to learn more about her crush. The short teen decided to try and start a conversation. Yet, she stopped midway. Once she was able to face Emma, blue eyes caught onto a familiar person a few seats away.
Suddenly, her body grew rigid and cold. Her heart felt like it stopped and breath caught short once recognizing the person.
Her mother.
Charlotte could feel herself shrink back to hide behind Emma. She was trying to figure out why her father told her that her mother wasn't going to show. Did her dad lie to her?
Yet, it wouldn't make sense that he brought her here. Her father would know if her mom would be at a show if she came home.
Unless...maybe...she lied to him.
Yet, why would her mother lie about her whereabouts?
Charlotte felt betrayed and confused that she didn't realize that the show started. She was too distracted by her many thoughts to lay any attention to the models strutting down the catwalk in Gabriel Agreste's new line of clothes.
Emma was on cloud nine to notice her friend's change in emotions. Her green eyes glittered with joy and smiled so big that her cheek muscles ached. It was then that the bluenette saw a cute ladybug dress that would look really cute on Charlotte.
Emma quickly turned to her friend and tell the blonde but paused. Charlotte's head was slumped down, blank eyes staring at the floor and a frown etched on her face. The face-splitting smile on Emma's face soon turned into a worrywart frown.
"Charlotte, what's wrong?" Emma asked, all attention on her new friend. Blue eyes blinked before slowly looking up at Emma. Charlotte could see concern laced with those beautiful green eyes and how her crush ignored her dream to see if the short teen was okay.
Charlotte felt a warmth rise within her chest and a small smile creep on her lips.
"Nothing's w-wrong a-as long as I-I'm with you," Charlotte said, dreamily before realizing what she came out of her mouth. She began to stutter out an excuse while her face turned cherry-red to which Emma could only watch in confusion.
"Introducing Adrien Agreste wearing-"
Emma and Charlotte immediately turned their attention away from each other to the stage. The bluenette was astonished when seeing her role model walking down the runway and pause at the end to do different poses.
