Edward was gone all night. Looking after Bella. Alice kept me and Rose updated on what was going on. I was surprised to hear that he was able to restrain himself.
After coming home in the morning he announced that he was going to pick up Bella for a date. I internally groaned as Edward said she was coming to our baseball game. He shot me a look clearly listening in on my private thoughts. I rolled my eyes at him before returning to my book. He headed out the door without saying another word to us.
"Come on Thalia. It won't be that bad," Alice told me. Trying to sound reassuring when she knew there was nothing that was going to change my point of view.
"Oh, like there's nothing dangerous about a human being out with a hole covern of vampires," Rosalie argued back. I was grateful to have someone agreeing with me.
"We've done it before. It was only yesterday we had lunch with her."
"Like that wasn't almost a complete disaster!" I let out an unamused chuckle as Alice turned and left the room with Jasper trailing along behind her.
Rose and I exchanged looks knowingly.
This is not a good idea.
