Kate cheered

She shoved a box in front of him. 

"Open it! Open it!" 

Ben blushed and shoved the box back. 

"You're not supposed to get me anything.." 

"You deserve a present. Now open it!"

Kate didn't like how Ben looked so

conflicted 

at that moment. 

Kate took Ben's hands and guided them to the box. 

"Just open it, Benny."

His fingers fumbled and clashed as he tore the wrapper. 

He pulled out shirts. 

long sleeved. 

"Their thin. So you don't get so hot."

and they were just shirts. 

so Ben couldn't figure out why 

tears sprang in his eyes

this emotion.
