Rory let out a deep breath as her head turned up to look at the man she's loved for so long. Logan. She wasn't sure what to expect at first? Maybe that he would show up with Fiancé in tow? She stood slowly, holding the books at her side.
"Hi Logan." her voice, the same soft one she's always had.
"How you been? My sister mentioned briefly running into you not long ago. You should call her, she misses you." He stood with that beautiful smile, hands in his pockets, looking her over. "You look good Ace."
"Thank you," Completely ignoring the words about his sister as the blush rose on her cheeks, "So you came looking for me? you could have just sent a text, I would have met you somewhere closer to where you were staying."
"Its ok," He stopped to look out the window, giving a nod, "I like this little town, its quaint and goofy."
This caused a brow to perk on Rory's face, "Goofy?"
"Yeah, always something weird happening right in town square. Good to see Kirk is still operating at whatever he can get his hands on." his laugh was slight. Rory looked out the window to see Kirk sitting in a bobcat driving around the gazebo, being chased by Luke.
Rory shook her head with a grin. It sure was quite the town.
"I cant disagree with you there." Rory made her way to the front desk and slid the books across it asking Andrew to hold them till later, giving him a shut your mouth look. "Will you have a coffee with me?"
"I have time for a coffee yeah," obviously he was paying no attention to the books, eyes focused on Rory alone.
She moved to the door and began to walk towards Westons Bakery, slowing her pace a bit while he catches up. Once walking side by side she glances over to him briefly. Age really hadn't don't any number on him. He was still the handsome man she remembered.
"So, how are things with you Logan?"
"Well, they are going. I'm taking over the Huntzberger papers," pausing for a moment, "wedding is coming up in a few months." his voice changed slightly bringing up Odette and the wedding.
"How is that all going, the wedding?"
"You know you don't want to talk about that Rory." his voice denoted a slight serious tone.
They walked into the bakery and found a seat, ordering a coffee and waited before the waitress walked away before beginning the talk again.
"I just wanted to get it all out of the way before this talk." The waitress interrupted by bringing the coffees, then returning to the counter.
"Sounds serious, what's going on? are you ok?" He was fully focused on her now.
Nervousness took her over. She felt sick, waves of nausea hitting as she gently held her cup in both hands. DO NOT VOMIT.
"I am fine, but there is something I need to talk to you about." she bit her cheek then, gauging his reaction.
"Well, what is it, you have me worried over here."
"Logan, I saw your sister at her OBGYN..."
"Ok....?"
Looking down into her coffee mug she let out a sharp breath.
"I am pregnant Logan."
"Congratulations Ace! Why so scared to tell me? How does what's his name? Roger? How does Roger feel about it?"
"It wasn't Roger, it was Paul... and its not his." She bit her lip this time, looking up at Logan, holding her breath.
"Ace....?"
