aka instead of publishing any of his three drafts laurie fumbles about and decides to release one of his 'old' things

ok so the story behind this is because i'm an indecisive and fickle sucker i take ages to do edits and stuff. the sheer amount of new things I learn everyday from different wonderful people is ridiculous,,, hence i'm constantly readjusting my style and getting inspired and procrastinating and ieguhfgihginuwykrh

so before I publish all my gifs and my other edits I thought I'd release this silly little thing! I started the base ages ago. seriously. a g e s. it's been over a week since I did the base and you can tell cuz it s u c k s *cheers* but I'm kinda pleased with it since I made it before I learnt anything uwu.

also i did this on my phone so it's not,,,, yeah let's get on with it.

ok so and behold one of laurie's edits which he did over the course of over a week god frickin bless:

I. SNOW WHITE.

— ok so firstly I know it's not that good and I'm very ok with that! I guess this photo edit isn't really 'aesthetic' but more something I did when I was in a gritty, horrible, cruel kinda mood uwu. i wanted to show this one first because I did this before I really knew how to edit and I'd like to showcase this as a sign of improvement since the edit's to come will hopefully be so much better!

— ok. photo edit analysis time. originally, i wasn't going with the Snow White theme. I simply wanted to do some editing and I chose this picture since the face and everything was clear and the centre focus. then I started and I made the eyes look redder and gave him dark eye bags and thought, hmm, pale skin would look extra stark with the colouring.

— and then I thought, you know who had black hair, paper frickin white skin and red lips? Snow White! and hence I then darkened the hair (which is a mess because I had no clue how to fricking colour hair correctly) and I changed the eye and stuff. also he was origannly wearing denim and i was like eWW NO YOU'RE RUINING MY VIBES so i just coloured it out heehee.

— i then added the spiders web (because i use ibis and thought i'd test out some of the materials they provide), the tear and the blood. i had a massive dilemma with the blood because it looked kinda terrible at first so i blended it out, although it looks better blended you can't really see it now but i do think it's a subtle funky touch! (if you zoom in you can see it on his cheek ooopsie)

— all in all this is a fairly mediocre edity thing but i'm proud of it considering i think its a little (v tincy bit) unique and solid since i had barely a smidge of experience at the time of starting!
