also this is my first time doing an edit like this (typography is my greatest enemy) so I,, really had to strain my brain

— did I use this quote because I struggle with the effects of toxic masculinity and often catch myself berating myself for feeling emotional? maybe. — yeah totally. — I think I could've used this quote when I was younger because it's truthful. There should be no shame in shedding tears, it's a human reaction to human emotions. — never, ever feel weak because you cried. never, ever feel weak because you broke down. never, ever feel weak because you couldn't deal. because, in the words of Charles Dickens (great expectations) 'we need never be ashamed of our tears.'
