Gradient POV
I was with Quill. They were quietly coloring and I didn't know how to tell them that mom was going to be out of home for a month.
"Um...Quill, baby...we need to talk." I said.
I picked them up. They giggled. I smiled. They hugged me. I really don't want to make them sad. Maybe I shouldn't tell them.. no. That wouldn't be fair to them.
"Baby...mama is...gonna go some where for a bit in a few days." I said.
"Why? And where? Does she not love us anymore?" They asked.
"What!? No, no nothing like that! She just...she's...she's sort of sick. She's going to a place that will help her." I explained.
She started crying.
"S-shell he back though...right...?" She asked.
"Oh of course she will baby. Of course she will."
