Fire's burning all around
Fire's coming toward us
Fire attracts, its heat a pull
The burning feeling, through my whole
Is this normal?
To keep the fire away from the ice
Telling myself, I have to play nice
Pretend that I don't care, pretend that I do.
Striving for balance each day though I fail
Breaking, and making, and taking great care
The fire inside me is wearing quite thin
The inferno it once was, is now just a spark
The fire that used to come from my heart
Has now gone to ashes, frozen and cold.
