waking up to the sound of the alarm to put your seatbelts on as turbulence was incoming, you realised you were resting on the shoulder of a stranger. sure as anything you were sat alone as you began your flight from la to london, you lifted your head in embarrassment. without looking to the person to your right, you hesitated to apologise.

"i, i am so sorry. i thought i was sleeping on the headrest, not a fucking, a hu-human shoulder. i am just so-."

the man next to you interrupted your apology with a giggle. it was soft and warm, you felt a lot better already. finally looking to him, he was just beautiful. you thought you were still dreaming.

"wow."

you covered your mouth as soon as you said anything, but he held your hand and pulled it away from your mouth. he kept hold of it as he spoke to you.

"i'm harry."

"(y/n)."

"you're a snorer."

you could feel the growing blush on your face. you groaned and begged harry to shut up. he laughed, still holding your hand.

"i'm joking, but you are something."

"i could be a serial killer."

"the chances of two serial killers sitting next to each other on a plane are next to none."

he couldn't keep a straight face, laughing at his own joke. you and harry kept your hands in each other's, looking and smiling at each other, getting to know each other. your fear of flying suddenly vanished and this one just became one to remember.
