SO NEXT WEEK NA NGA?!

I HAVEN'T PACKED MY THINGS YET?

DI KO PA NGA ALAM KUNG PANO KO SASABIHIN KAY MAMA!

Oh wait-

Nabasa na ba to ni mama?

My body is feeling anxious right now. Pwede pa naman akong mag back-out diba? I can't just immediately leave my school! Yung books ko nga nasa lockers ko pa eh. I should just go tell mom.

"MAAA!", I immediately screamed para naman mabilis pumunta dito si mama.

Nagluluto pa siya so obviously, she's busy. But this is much important than cooking! I don't even know how to reject this school's acceptance letter!

"Have you read this already?", agad ko naming tanong matapos niyang makarating sa kinauupuan ko. I then raised the letter I was talking about and to my surprise, SHE JUST SMILED BACK!

Did I just seriously saw my mom smiling while here I am, functioning like a broken printer. I can't process this whole transfer thing in my head!

"Oo naman anak. I was already informed by your school na isa ka sa mga napiling students para mag immediate transfer. I'm so proud of you!"

So she really did knew! Pero sabi niya na "isa sa mga napiling students". So meron pa palang ibang nakapasok from our school?

"Ma, meron pa bang ibang nabigyan din nitong acceptance letter from our school?", I asked her.

"Well, according sa tumawag sakin from your school, you will be with three other students. You know what, just go get packing anak. I'll get back to you later, ok? Tatapusin ko muna yung niluluto ko."

I don't really know what to feel right now. Fear and excitement came rushing through my veins after kong malaman na meron pa pala akong ibang makakasama with this whole sudden transfer-sa-ibang-school process.

I really hope this will end well though.

Umakyat na ako sa taas para pumunta sa kwarto ko and "start getting packed" as to what my mom said at para naman din mabawasan na yung pag ka stress ko dito. I will surely miss my school. My friends. My teachers. Literally everything. Bakit din naman kasi pumayag agad tong si mama?

I mean boarding school ito. There are a lot of disadvantages once I get there. For example, what if dahil sa katangahan ko eh bigla akong mahulog sa stairs. My mom would surely get worried about that. O di kaya what if biglang may pumasok na kriminal sa school namin tapos i-hohostage kaming lahat? That would be terrifying for someone my age. Or what if may mga aliens na biglang dadating tapos sasabihing sa Mars na kami titira?

Haaaay! I really need to get some rest. Besides, gabi na din. I'll just wait for mom to wake me up para kumain ng dinner. I NEED SOME SLEEP!

"JOSH!"

I woke up feeling the cold, hard floor after hearing that noise. Ang sakit ng pagkakabagsak ko sa sahig ah! Sino ba namang gigising sakin ng ganito ka aga? It's still 7 in the morning. Surely, kakaalis lang ni mama kasi 7:45 ata yung pasok niya sa work. 'Di man lang ako ginising ni mama kagabi para kumain ng dinner! I'm starving right now. But then, kung wala si mama dito, sino yung nasa loob ng bahay namin?

I rushed to the side of my room's door to peak outside. Wala naman ah? I slowly turned the doorknob and walked silently to the stairs. I checked kung may tao doon and to my surprise, wala naman. So sino pala yun-

"JOSH IHO! TANGHALI NA DI KA PA GUMIGISING! ANO NALANG SASABIHIN NG LOLO MO SA'YO? MALIGO KA NA'T NG MAKAKAIN KA NA NG UMAGAHAN MO!"

I was shocked to hear lola's voice at my back! Ang aga naman mamasyal ni lola. How did she even opened the front door? "Mano po, la." Even at the slightest shock in my body, I still managed to greet lola with a "mano po". She genuinely smiled back at me tapos hinug ako. I surely missed lola.
