Rain
Blue skies of summertime was replaced by clumps of dark clouds.
Tiny droplets came raining down the sky,
And the thirsty earth drank slowly.
Through the cracks and above the dry sand,
It poured its sweet water, unconditionally.
I remember how you loved me,
How you fed my soul with joy that long dried from countless heartaches.
How you nursed my heart back into loving once again.
How your unconditional love renewed me.March 21, 2020
