Nightmare

“ Ah!  ” a scream escaped Hyun Joo's mouth , waking herself up from her sleep with tears streaming down her face .

She had a nightmare , a dream maybe about her past . It was about a car crash . She saw three person in it . A woman , a man and a boy . Her family . Something crashed into their car and her father lost his balance on controlling the steering wheel , causing them to almost fall off from a cliff . There were voices talking before they dissapeared along in the rain . Sound of a baby crying , might be herself . On top of the baby was a boy who was trying to protect her . That's when she woke up from it , remembering the last detail of the boy .

Scared by the nightmare , Hyun Joo curled herself into a ball , rocking back and forth while crying . Her eyes were blurry as all she could think was the nightmare she had . It was terrifying to see such scene in a dream .

“ Hyun Joo ? What's wrong ? ” seems like her nightmare didn't only wake her up .

“ Car crash . Blood . Parents . Brother . ” she can't stop herself from repeating the same thing towards Beomgyu .

Beomgyu , who was half asleep , widened his eyes after hearing what she said , remembering that Hyun Joo's family died in a car crash as his mother once told him about how did Soobin suddenly has a younger sister . Beomgyu originally sleeps on the floor , but quickly change to sit on the bed to give Hyun Joo a reassuring hug .

“ Shh ... It's okay , Joo . Everything was just a dream . You're fine , you're safe .” he said while stroking her hair .

“ Beomgyu.... ” she clutched onto Beomgyu's pajama , giving him a hint that she was more than scared of the dream .

“ I know baby , I know . I'm here . I won't go anywhere . ” he rocks them both to let Hyun Joo sleeps in peace again .

It worked , making Hyun Joo went silent with a little hint of sniffles . As he promised , Beomgyu didn't go anywhere from his current position , accepting the fact that they'll be sleeping in a hugging postion until the next day . He couldn't care less . As long as Hyun Joo will be fine , then he'll do anything for her .

“ Choi Beomgyu , I give 5 seconds for you to get your hands off from my sister . ”

The familiar voice woke Beomgyu up with shock as he is a light sleeper . In front of him stood a furious Soobin with his arms crossed .

“ Morning , hyung ....”

No changes on Soobin's face . It was stern and hints of burning flames everywhere around him . It was not just the fact that Beomgyu slept in Hyun Joo's room that he was furious about , it was also due to the fact that he slept on the same bed and hugged his sister while sleeping .

The look on Soobin's face scared Beomgyu on the finest level , he thought that it'll be better for him to move away from the bed as fast as he could before Soobin kills him . Feeling as if someone leaving , Hyun Joo wasted no time on grabbing on the hem of Beomgyu pj's , preventing him from leaving .

“ Beomgyu , I'm scared ..... ” she cried without even having to open her eyes .

No , she was not awake . It was just a part of her conscience that Beomgyu won't leave her because she remembered him saying that he won't go anywhere last night when she cried . It became a sense of comfort for her .

Soobin was startled by Hyun Joo crying voice , wasting no time on kneeling by her side . Hyun Joo's cry quiet down when she felt a hand caressing on her hair , eventually letting go of her fist that grabbed Beomgyu's pajama .

They both waited until Hyun Joo was comfortable enough before exiting her room quietly . Beomgyu was gestured by Soobin to follow him towards his room . As soon as Beomgyu keep the door shut , a rough hand grabbed his collar while the owner was growling .

“ What did you do to her ? ” Soobin's voice was rather stern , which terrifies Beomgyu a lot .

“ I didn't do anything to her . ”

“ Then why is she crying ?! ” Soobin raised his voice . “ Speak the truth , Beomgyu . Why is she crying ? Why does she needs you ? ”

“ She had a nightmare last night,okay ?! You weren't there for her ! ” Beomgyu finally lost it .

Soobin's grip on Beongyu's collar started to loose after hearing about Hyun Joo having a nightmare . She never had one before . Why everything has to happen now ?
