Chapter 1 Origins

My name is Valentina Jose, my friends call me Val. But the people of Gotham know me as the villain Foxfire. I got the name Foxfire because I'm as stealthy as a fox, and I like to start fires. Also i thought it was a pretty good name.Why did i become a villain you might ask? It all started when i was around 12, Batman the 'hero' let my friend Beth, and her mother, Gabi die. I thought he was there to save Beth and her mom, but he left... Luckily me and Kate got out of the car but that day we lost the Beth we knew, forever. Kate and I were especially devastated when Jacob (Kate's dad) said "Girls... the investigators they found skull fragments, and the DNA matches Beth, i'm so sorry." Me and Kate didn't believe him since we had searched the farm where they claimed they found the bones high and low and there was nothing. "You're a traitor, you promised to never give up looking for her" Kate said with tears in her eyes. After that Kate ran up stairs to her room. "Mr.Kane i think-" he cuts me off by yelling "SHUT UP BETH IS DEAD DON'T YOU GET IT" I started to cry and i turned around and ran out the door but as i was leaving he said "Wait Val please im sorry" I turned around and yelled at him "MY NAME IS VALENTINA" and i ran home to my father crying. When my father asked me what happened i told him he said "Sweety im sure she could still be out there i know because even i checked that farm and there was nothing" I was about to respond when he said "But there is also a chance she is dead but don't worry i believe you. I also think that Jacob wants to give you girls closure." I hugged him "Thanks Dad i love you" i said "I love you too, it's time to go to bed okay?" "Okay dad" I responded. Little did i know that my dad was planning to send me off to train with the best trainers around the world so i could have time to heal from all the pain i felt just being outside where we used to play in my front garden. When I found out he was sending me away I cried and begged for him to let me stay with Kate. "No Val you're going to go, it's for the best" That's when i realized that there was no point in arguing. I was to leave in a week to Tokyo to meet my first trainer and teacher, then I would travel all around the world for the next 15 and a half years. That week when i told Kate we hugged each other and cried "Take me with you" Kate said "Kate you can't go with me i wish you could but-" Then Jacob walked into the room " Kate i thought i told you that you were not allowed to talk to Valentina anymore" Before Kate could say anything i said "Don't worry about me talking to your daughter Mr.Kane i'm leaving" "what do you mean leaving" he said, I responded by saying "I'm leaving for 15 years so don't you worry about me." I hugged Kate and said "Goodbye Kate i'll miss you alot" then after we cried and said our last goodbye i left walking home crying. That night I finished packing since I was leaving for the Airport at 7am since my flight left at 8am. I snuck out that night and went to Kate's house, i saw her room light was on but i knew that her father was already asleep since i could see him from one of the windows passed out on the couch. I picked up some pebbles and threw them at her window until she finally opened it. "Val what are you doing here" she semi whispered/yelled "I really wanted to spent one last night here with you" i said with the same amount of volume  "Can you unlock the backdoor" "Sure" she then disappeared from the window and i went through her backyard and went in through the backdoor. That night was one that I will always remember all the fun we had. I snuck back out  at around 3 am since my dad usually wakes up at 4am. For the last time I said goodbye to Kate and got back
home. At 6:30 am my dad woke me up from my little nap. I Got ready and without looking back,I left.

So I recently really got into the show Batwoman and within 3 days I finished all the episodes 😂 and I'm also stuck at home because of Corona virus so I figured I'll write while I have ideas. I am working on the second chapter as we speak so it should be out tomorrow
