Y/n's pov.

We're in the woods, taking a rest, I stood behind a tree as I put the small blade in my waist pocket and I see Aaron approaching.

I turn away when he grab my hand, I just stood there and he turn me back around.

" Your avoiding me " he said.

" We were in public, plus Nicole and Dante was there as well " I said.

" We're not now and your still avoiding me " he said, I sighed.

" What did Zane and Gene said to you?, I saw you with them and you seem uncomfortable " he said.

" They were flirting " I said.

" What? " He asked.

" It's nothing serious okay, now could you please " I try to take back my hand, he grips tighter.

" Your hiding something " he said.

" I'm not " I look away.

" Your a terrible liar " he said, I keep quiet as he hold me hand.

" Hey " he hook my chin up.

" You can talk me " he looks down at me.

" I don't think you can handle it " I said.

" What's that supposed to mean? " He asked.

" It's about something that you won't expect " I said.

" Please? " He asked.

" I'll tell you next time " I take my hands off of his.

" Is it that serious? " He asked.

" I'm sorry " I said and he hugs me, I was taken aback and hug back.

" Just don't keep it for too long " he said.

We pull apart.

" We have to go " I said and pick up my bow.

" Y/n! " I was then pushed out of the way by him.

I fall on the ground and yelp when my hand hits the ground, a cut was made but I ignore it, I turn at Aaron and see he's impaled with an arrow to the abdomen.

" Aaron! " I rush to him, I turn to my right and see a guy running.

I grab two arrows from my quiver and shoot the first one then the second. The first arrow hit the tree next to him which made him flinch and the other arrow hits the back of his thigh.

" Agh! " He falls and hold the arrow.

I turn to Aaron and rush to him as he lie against the tree.

" Aaron " I hold the arrow as he grunted.

" What happened?! " Dante rush here with Nicole and the others.

" He was shot " I hold the wound.

" We have to get him to the palace " Tyson said as he takes out a piece of fabric.

" Just pull the damn arrow! " Aaron groans.

I look up at him as I furrow my eyebrows.

" Y/n pull it out " Dante said.

I pull the arrow out and he grunts.

Tyson place a napkin on the wound. I look at the arrowhead, that looks familiar. I put it in my quiver and help him up, Valerie takes my bow for me.

" Get the horses " I said.

I put down the tray on the table as Aaron weakly lie on the bed, shirtless with bandages around his wound.
