The setting takes place in the movie Purple Rain.
I remember coming home from a after school activities. It was late in the evening. I entered into the house and down into the basement. The walls were pale white. I heard noise coming from one of the rooms. I peak in and saw my parents "getting along again" (Having sex)
I quietly close the door and crawl into a bed in the corner of the basement near an open window. A couple of seconds later the Kid (Prince) appeared and crawled into bed with me. We both stared at the full moon along with the twinkling bright stars.
"When daddy gets a job everything will get better." The Kid said to me. He took my hand and pressed our palms together as if he was saying we are in this together.
I shook my head. "He has no right to hurt his family."
