Chapter 1

I was looking at the scenery of the surroundings outside the window of our car when mom break the silence between us three.

" Do you love the scenery? "
She looks at me from the passenger seat while dad is the driver.

" I love it and besides the air must be refreshing " I said while looking back at the views. Purong berdeng bukid ang nakikita ko ngayon at mga ibon na nagliliparan.

" It is. At magtagalog ka naman kung magsasalita ka, nasa pilipinas kana remember. " Mom with mocking smile at me.

" I know how to speak tagalog. I'm just used to speak in English. " I comb my hair as I feel it is messy. My hair is naturally straight and naturally black but i used to dye it brown. Just styling.

While on our way home, there's a lot of people doing their works, just like farming. My mom said that they have a plantation here or should i say lupa namin. And she also said that it has a lot of root crops and other plants planted in there.

Nakarating na kami sa bahay namin. Matagal na akong hindi nakapunta dito. I think i was 8 yrs. Old the last a came here? Not really exactly. I usually stay in manila, mas malapit yun eh and nasa city. Simula ng pinanganak ako doon na kami nagstay. Dito im not sure kung may signal but we have wifi, siguro naman makaka pag-internet naman ako.

I go out in our van and look at the surroundings. It is not old one as it is before, there's a lot of changes. The color white paint as i remember before changes to off white, now as i can see. The green leaves of different plants before changes to a lot of colors of flower petals. And it is eye catching.

" You like it? " My mom ask me with a smile on her face

I smile and walk towards her and hold her waist

" Maganda. It changed a lot. " While the smile is still on my lips

" Pinagplanuhan namin ng dad mo 'to a year ago, kasi plano namin na pauwiin kana dito. "
She guided me inside the house

" Wait my luggages. " i look back only to see that it was carried by my loving dad. And the others are carried by maids.

" Let it to me darling"
My dad then smile

" Okay, but i think it's heavy "
Me with worried tone. My dad is not that young nor old

" I can, look i already carried it"
I laugh as he laughs also

We enter the house and it amazed me. It totally changed.

" Just put it here dad. Mamaya nalang yan ilagay sa kwarto. Mga manangs dito nalang po muna ang mga iyan. " And i help them to put it beside the sofa.

" How about your other things darling? " My dad as he sit beside my mom

I then sit in front of them as i settle my luggages and other things on the side.

" I pack it before my flight and i already sent it here. As i know it takes months, to totally arrive here? " I check my face in my small mirror if i am fresh padin

" Yes, and i know you spend a lot to pay those fees. Knowing you, you never let your things lose and you value your things " my dad knows me so well. Such a lovable one.

" Yes, it is expensive but yet it's okay. I have no plan naman to go back there. " Parang na gulat sila sa sinabi.

" Really? How about your friends? Someone you are capable with? Some belongings you've been there? " si mommy na hindi makapaniwala, as I've said i have no plan anymore. Vacation maybe.

" I make sure i bring it with me. My dog is already gone a months ago and i carry his ash with me. " i feel a sudden pain in my chest. " Hayss. I really miss my cholo "

After an hour of talking and we decided to eat dinner and here i am now comfortable lying in my middle size bed. I am currently here in one of the guest rooms, mom and dad are in their room here on the second floor and tomorrow i will be the one to put my things on my room. I think my room is just 2 rooms after my parent's room. Why so far? Anyways Im exited to design it, i really love arts. Mas gusto kong ako ang mag aayos. Our maid says that its already ready and they clean it before we came. For now, i will rest and tomorrow is another day.

I heard some noises, but those noises cannot destroy your morning and it's from the birds outside and other animals. I yawned and stayed at my bed a minute more before picking up my phone. Oh, it's already 8:20 am. I should fix myself. I get up and open the curtains for more lights to enter my room and go straight forward to the cr. It takes me 15 minutes inside. The water is fresh and it's really relaxing. How i wish i experience it before.

I put the robe on my body before going out the bathroom and look for something to wear. I really love fashion so don't expect me to wear some clothes that doesn't suit my taste. And after i choose the sleeveless yellow top and a tight black short, i tuck my sleeveless inside the shorts and fixed my hair and face. I put some lip tint and let my hair down, I dried it.

Hinanap ko rin ang sandals ko which is bigay ni mommy kahapon. I like to match it with my outfit today. Kinuha ko ang phone ko sa night stand at lumabas ng kwarto. Nasa ground floor lang ang guests room so i go straight sa dining area. Walang tao pero may pagkain na natatakpan ng ewan ko kung ano tawag dito. I open it and it's fried rice na medyo mainit pa at bacons. I set aside the cover and look for spoon and fork. Naghanap rin ako ng maiinom na tubig and after that nakita ko ang coffee powder. Why not try this.

Kumakain akong magisa ng pumasok ang may kaidarang babae.

" Kain po tayo, manang...? " alok ko sa kanya. I also smile to her.

" Flor po ang pangalan ko ma'am. Sige po kain lang po kayo kanina pa po kami kumain. " sabi nya na may ngiti sa labi.

" Masyado naman po kayong pormal. Cut the po, just call me Khaye. "

" Sige ma'am Khaye "

" Manangggggg" napapadyak pa ako. Miski sya na gulat sa inasta ko.
" Khaye lang po,Wag na ma'am. Wala naman tayo sa opisina. "
Maarteng iwinagayway ko pa ang kutsarat't tinidor na hawak ko.

" Sige hija. Pangit naman kung Khaye lang. " nakangiti nyang sabi sakin. Masayahin atah tong si manang Flor. I must be with her.

" Sina Mom and dad po nakita nyo? " tanong ko at sumubo ng kinakain ko.

" Pumunta po sa plantasyon niyo. "

I glared at her.

" Sabi manang walang po ehhh" i act like a 5-year-old kid.
Natawa lang sya sakin when i talk like a childish one.

" Masasanay karin pagmagtagal. "
Natatawa parin nyang sabi sakin.

" Ah basta hindi tayo bati. Hmmp. "
Sinungitan ko sya kunwari. I know that she knows that i just acted.

" O siya pagmaykalangan ka tawagin mo lang ako at ang iba. Nasa labas lang kami o di kaya dito sa loob ng bahay. " May bahid parin ng tawa ang boses nya. Hindi ko sya nilingon, tumango lang ako sa sinabi nya. Nang maka alis sya ay binilisan ko nalang ang pagkain ng umagahan ko.
