Why I Think The Raileon (Raihan x Leon) Ship May Actually Be Secretly Canon

Ok, so you know how Raihan is constantly trying to beat Leon? What if he wasn't doing that just for the purpose of becoming champion? I mean, Sword & Shield gives evidence that Raihan may not even be doing that for the purpose of just getting the title of champion. According to Raihan's League Card, it says "Raihan is commonly regarded as the most skilled Gym Leader in the Galar region. He has striven for victory in every environment, and as a result, he has adopted a battle style where he utilizes weather effects to their fullest. It is rumored that he could easily become another region's Champion should he choose to move, but it seems that to Raihan, defeating Leon is much more important." If he really wanted to just get the title of Champion, all he'd have to do is move to a different region and he'd have no issues at all with becoming champion in another region... But, he never chose to move to get that title. Meaning, that even though he knew very well that he would never be able to defeat Leon, he didn't leave to get the title elsewhere. And since defeating Leon is more important to him, it's suggesting that Leon is more important to Raihan than becoming champion actually is. Because if Leon hadn't been important to Raihan or that Raihan hadn't cared about Leon more than he showed, he would have just moved to get the champion title elsewhere. But the fact that Leon himself is more important to Raihan suggests that perhaps Raihan actually had a secret love interest towards Leon or perhaps a crush on Leon.

An example of how they've made a rivalry ship be canon is when the original Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire were out, they made it seem like Maxie and Archie hated each other. When they released Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, there were hints dropped in the games that Archie and Maxie liked each other. Such as one of the dialogue replies from Archie saying "I'm always left watching his bony backside run two steps ahead of me! which basically means in other words "I hate it when you leave but i love watching you go" or basically "I want you to stay but at the same time you have to go" and at one point in the game, it said that Maxie and Archie used to work together. Meaning, all these events in emerald, ruby, and sapphire could have been all from a bad break up and that in omega ruby and alpha sapphire, they both (or at least Archie did), still had feelings for Maxie and wanted to possibly get back together. After all, if they weren't just doing those events to get back at each other as revenge for a bad breakup, do you really think they would grab the wrong orb accidentally despite it being really obvious about which orb was meant for Groudon and which orb was meant for Kyogre? It seems more like they were doing it deliberately just to prevent each other from actually getting anywhere with anything in their lives. Then two years later after the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, on Valentines Day, 2016, they confirmed Archie x Maxie (Aka Hardenshipping) to be a canon ship. Now who's to say they aren't just doing that with the Raileon ship?

After all, if Raihan hadn't liked Leon more than what's shown in game, why hasn't he given up on trying to beat Leon? Besides, he's on a Ten - Nil losing streak with Leon. Meaning, he's lost Ten Battles to Leon every time he had the chance to battle Leon at the Exhibition match and possibly have the chance to go up against Leon at the Championships Tournament if the player's character hadn't been there. At since that Tournament and Exhibition Match is likely a once per year type of event, that means Raihan's lost to Leon for ten years in a row. Now for anyone, most people would have likely given up after losing for five years in a row. After all, wouldn't that just discourage just about anyone to give up on trying to beat that person if they haven't won against them a single time for five years? And consider this, if Raihan had beaten Leon even just once outside of the Exhibition Match and Championships Tournament, that would have made Raihan technically become the New Champion. And knowing Raihan, he's likely challenged Leon countless times outside of those two events. So, if he were really going for beating Leon just for to become a champion, do you really think he would keep trying to become Galar's Champion after trying countless times for ten years in a row to try and beat Leon bit lose every single time when he could have easily just left and become a champion for a different region?

That wouldn't make sense at all. It would be just wasting time. The only way it'd make sense even slightly for Raihan to keep this losing streak up for ten years without giving up despite it being obvious he could never beat Leon would be if he was just simply using these battles as just an excuse to get to spend time near Leon; possibly from having a possible crush on Leon. After all, who would want to waste a full ten years of their life just to stay to beat one specific person to become champion when they could easily settle for becoming a champion in literally any other region they wanted with absolute ease? Now does that make sense to you? Because to me, it sounds like they're going for that whole situation of Maxie and Archie being Rivals then be Canonly Shipped together thing but with Leon and Raihan instead of Maxie and Archie. Because there seems to be a pretty strong connection with that whole rivalry to lovers theme that Maxie and Archie had had. So, who's to say they game creators aren't going for that theme again and that they'll announce it canon years later?
