"who are you texting?" nick says, sitting down next to his sister on the couch in the sway house living room. after the hype house ended, amanda and addison moved to a condo by the beach. ryland and nick moved to the sway house, so the girls are always hanging out at the sway house.
"no one," she replies, quickly putting her phone away and refocusing her attention at the tv where some of the boys are playing a video game.
"it's someone. who is it?" he says, reaching for her phone. he grabs it and sees the notification for the last text from from ryland. "'oh ok.' what the fuck? unlock your phone!"

"well jeez, sorry i care about you," he says, rolling his eyes, but sitting back down.
