Chapter 1 ✨

CHAPTER 1

Gulf Kanawut was in the library, he was busy as he was already in his final year, trying to search for reading materials and references for his final year project.

‘The library is almost full. Where should I sit? There is no space reserved for me. Maybe I should just borrow the books and get out from here.’ 

Gulf went to the book rack and searched for the books he needed. Studying in Faculty of Art and Music was never been easy for him.  There were too many projects that need to settle down before the finals as the course he took was literally more about assessment and project. Gulf Kanawut always scored perfectly before, thus he needed to ensure that he would pass and graduate with flying colour this time.

As Gulf was searching for the books, something attracted his eyes. At the bottom of the rack, at the corner, there was a notebook, that was in black colour, which seem old but not too old. He picked up the notebook but Gulf felt weird because there was no dust on the notebook, which meant that the owner wrote on his book almost every day. The owner of this notebook hid the notebook really well, but still Gulf’s eyes could notice everything.

“Mew Supassit Jongcheveevat” he slowly said the name that was written on a notebook he found. He felt that his heart was thumping. He did not know who the man was, but what is this? What is the feeling I felt just now? He was not a gay. He never fell for a man. That was one thing for sure, because his first love was a girl and his classmate in high school. The question that even he could not answered.  He quickly hushed the thought away from his mind, although he knew that his heart still had the after-effect. He had an urge to open the notebook when suddenly

“GULF KANAWUT TRAIPIPATTANAPONG, IT’S ALREADY LUCNH. LETS' GO THE CAFÉ!”  There came his best friend, Eye Siwapohn. All the eyes in library stared at Eye, and the librarian gave Eye death glare that looked like everyone-here-is-studying-so-shut-your-fucking-mouth.

“Eye! This is library. Please slow down your voice. You’re disturbing them who are studying.”

“I’m sorry Gulf. I am just excited to meet you. It had already 3 days since I had lunch with you. Lets’ go to eat. You promised me already that today the lunch is on you as the last time I was the one who paid. Lets’ go naaa.”

“It’s only three days Eye. It’s not like we have not met for three years.”

“Whatever. Let’s eat already. I’m very hungry right now.”

Eye’s puppy eyes made Gulf chuckled. He would never been angry with her. Eye is his best friend from elementary school and until now. They are in same faculty, but Gulf is major in art while Eye’s major is music. However, they are always together every time they had free times.  Eye is the one that Gulf could tell his problem to. He believed that Eye is a good advisor and also a good listener. Eye never complained whenever Gulf told her about his problem. The girl always gave him the solution he needed during his hard time.

“Okay, okay. Lets’ go. But wait. I need to borrow this first.” Gulf picked the books he wanted to borrow. And the notebook he found, he quickly put it at its place without Eye noticed that. He and Eye walked out from the library as their stomach were already growled.
