"I can be anything I wanna be because I had such a good role model!" I hear Oscar yell as I walk out of our bedroom only to see Oscar and his dad
"I had a shitty dad too, mijo, but you gotta let go of that rage." His dad says
"Let it go? It's the only thing that keeps me going. It's how I survived out here. Without you." Oscar says to him
"I'll see you around." His dad says before grabbing his duffel bag off of the table before walking out of the front door and closing it behind him
"Give me a minute and we'll go to the appointment." Oscar says before stomping out of the house after his dad and I go after him and stop in the doorway of the open front door
"So I'm supposed to tell Cesar you're leaving? You're just putting that on me?" Oscar asks his dad but he ignores him
"Hey, piece of shit!" Oscar shouts as he steps off of the porch and his dad keeps walking
"Everything bad that's ever happened in my life is because of you. You're gonna crush him the same way you crushed me." Oscar says as I step out on the porch and his dad drops his bag before turning to face Oscar
"Why didn't you ever write to me? Or call? Did you ever even think of me?" Oscar asks him
"It woulda been a lot easier if you'd just died." He adds before his dad walks towards him
"You know, the worst part about growin up without a father is having to be a father to a brother without ever being a son." Oscar says as his voice breaks and his dad reaches him
His dad pulls him into his embrace before Oscar hesitates but wraps his arms around him as well and I rub my bump
"Uh!" Oscar grunts as he shoves him away from him
"Pick up your shit and don't come back." Oscar says before shoving him once again before his dad picks up his bag before he walking on down the street
Oscar turns around to face me with tear filled eyes before walking towards me
I step down onto the third step as he reaches me and I wrap my arms around his neck before he silently cries in my embrace
Oscar pulls away from me before wiping his tears away
"Let's go see our kid." He says as he winks at me before fishing his car keys out of his pocket
"Hey.." I say softly causing him to look at me
"I love you." I say before he connects his lips with mine
"I love you, too, Princesa." He says softly against my lips before he grabs my hand and pulls me towards his car
*20 Minutes Later*
"Would you like to know the gender?" My doctor asks as Oscar stares at our baby that's on the monitor in amazement
