Bio: Weiss was born as an heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, which her father currently controls. However, due to the company's mistreatment of Faunus labor and the resulting escalating backlash targeted at both the company and her family by the Faunus Civil Rights Protest and the White Fang, her childhood upbringing was a "very difficult" one.
She left for Beacon Academy against her father's wishes and decides to become a huntress. decides She is tired of continuously living up to the expectations of others. She also used to carry a distorted view of family pride and had no sense of self, and she now seeks to create a sense of self that she can be proud of, just like her sister, Winter, did.
The moment she made it to Beacon, she immediately bumps into Ruby Rose and the two get off to a bad start when Ruby knocked over her expensive luggage and nearly blows them off the cliff from a Dust accident. Weiss initially considered Ruby beneath her, due to the latter's younger age, childlike behavior, and her apparent lack of knowledge about Dust and herself. When Ruby offers to try and make it up to her, Weiss tells her she can start by leaving her alone.
When the two meet up in the Emerald Forest, her first instinct was to walk away, leaving Ruby behind. She only decided to partner with Ruby after seeing that her other option was Jaune Arc, which delights Ruby.
At first, Weiss doesn't think much of Ruby's abilities, seeing herself as vastly superior in combat. Weiss is surprised by Ruby's speed but considers her to have bad form, and initially the two don't work well together due to their lack of communication and coordination. At one point, she gets upset when Ruby's Zorua, which she considers a pet, attacks a Beowolf she herself was about to attack, causing her to set off a small forest fire when she redirected her attack away from Ruby. After the battle, Zorua was hurt and the fire behind to them grew. However, an Alolan Vulpix I came and used Powder Snow and put the fire out. Ever since then, the Vulpix never left her side and became her partner. After meeting with Beacon's newest Professor, Cynthia, she gave an explanation to the existence of Pokémon. After that, she gave her partner a new name: Keo.
