this wasn't well thought through
you thought everything would sail
and didn't balance evenly ...
precious things were sunken
sunken and solemn was the expression
on your weary face and ageing hands ;
but do believe me when i say i warned you
and i tell you with my complete honesty ...
i tried , i attempted , i failed
those sunken memories ;
lost too soon , never coming back
those sunken faces ;
when they knew the true reality
those sunken words ;
things that should've been said that never were
it has broken you ever since
you do not have to tell me
for i sense ...
