TW: DEATH, GRIEF, COMFORT
-
I recently experienced the loss of a friend. I think this is a healthy way to release some of these emotions and it is very comforting to get these down. I won't be including funerals because I've never been to one, and obviously not my friend's yet. I will probably be adding to this list as the week goes on. The ones I've already made fill me with a nice.... well, feeling.
This is obviously an extremely subjective post.Midoriya Izuku:
-He doesn't hide his own shock or emotions very well when you tell him you lost someone. He knew something was wrong the moment you looked at that post - your face fell, and his heart dropped.
-If you're crying, he probably is too, even if he didn't know them. He just loves you so much and he's really in tune with your emotions, so when you're sad, he struggles not to be as well. This time, however, he tries to mask some of it to be a strong shoulder you can lean on.
-He definitely goes to All Might and his mother and asks for help. He wants to support you in all the ways he can.Bakugou Katsuki:
-He's confused. He doesn't know if you're joking, and once he realizes you're serious, he shuts up and just pulls you into a hug. He's never personally experienced much loss, but he knows it's one of the hardest things to go through, and he doesn't want to hurt you anymore than you're hurting right now. Therefor the best he can do is not talk.
-Helps you gather old texts and photos, especially the ones you have trouble looking at, but are needed. He probably knew them because he shoves himself into your personal life a lot, but he handles it surprisingly well. He's used to taking his emotions out using a punching bag, and he offers for you to do the same. Afterwards he cooks you something he knows you like, it's the least he can do.Todoroki Shouto:
-He recognizes that expression immediately and he's at your side. He hesitantly puts an arm around your shoulder, asking if you're okay. He's so easy to open up to after all this time, it just comes gushing out.
-He takes you out to get food. You bring it home and do whatever you want - watch TV, play a board game, he knows it takes time to process grief and little distractions are his own way of handling it. If you need something else, he'll provide it if he can. He seems to not feel the loss, but once everything is said and done, he's devastated that you have to deal with this. He had hoped you wouldn't have to for at least a decade, not straight out of high school.Kirishima Eijirou:
-Because of his upbeat nature, you try to hide it from him. He's very empathetic, however, and asks what happened. You tell him quietly and try to seem composed, but he quickly pulls you somewhere private so you can fully express yourself. He hugs you tightly and rubs your back, telling you he'll be here the whole way.
-He bends over backwards to get you whatever you need, going out of his way to provide you with anything he can remember you like. He calls his friends and asks for help, but eventually finds his own way to support you through this all.Aizawa Shouta:
-Since you've been together for so long, he knows most of your friends. He sees the same post during teaching and decides to call it a day early. Hizashi is quick to take over, and Shouta rushes to your side. He's known loss, and he knows it's never easy. He holds you tight and makes sure you know you're not alone.
-He monitors you for about a day, making sure you eat and take care of yourself. He remembered how sick he got with the death of one of his own friends, he won't let you fall into the same depressive spiral.Hizashi Yamada:
-The crazy goggles come off immediately and he gets to you as soon as possible. He asks if you would like to go anywhere: If you want to go out, he takes you shopping. If you want to visit the family, he takes you there (If it's appropriate), if you just want to go home, he takes you home. He calls the school to inform them he'll need a couple days off. You're his top priority.
-He recalls the times he met your friend, probably one time during karaoke. You laugh over the memories, you cry into his shoulder. He's a bit distressed when you break down, but he holds himself together and rubs your back, sighing deeply. He knows this is a million times harder on you than you're letting on, and he'll be with you all the way.Toshinori Yagi:
-He's with you when you get the information. He's seen that expression on many people before, and he grabs your hand, giving you a worried yet understanding look. He knows the world is cruel, it takes the kindest, sweetest people away. He's seen it with his own two eyes, and he had hoped you wouldn't, but as you cried in his arms on the soft sheets, he knew you were going to need time.
-He makes you a nice bath with flowers and candles and everything you like. You lay against his chest, relaxing and remembering the good times. He knows he handles these situations best by thinking of all the good they left in the world, and he makes sure you don't spiral downward. He lifts you up, hoisting you spirits during this dark experience.
