Its Complicated...

Chapter 3

Authors note:  If you couldn't tell, just like last story some of the POV's rewind to show the events from another perspective. 

Katies POV

I woke up the next morning and Bryce wasn't in bed anymore. I was about to get up to see where he went but he came in with two plates and Kio followed behind with coffee. 

Me "What is all of this?"

Bryce "Well I had to enlist some help, but I figured I'd make you breakfast and we could have breakfast in bed together."

He was so cute standing there, he looked so proud of himself.

Me "Well at least I know the food is edible since Kio helped make it."

Bryce "Ahaha very funny.."

Kio "Yeah I'll let you guys alone now."

Bryce "Thanks for the help dude."

Kio walked out and I just sat there looking at Bryce. 

Me "You didnt have to do this babe."

Bryce "I wanted to."

Me "Well thank you."

We sat in bed and ate breakfast and just enjoyed our time together. Then it was time to get ready to start the day. Bryce and I got ready and headed downstairs. When we got down there I saw Sara and Dan patiently waiting. I could see Bryce eye up Dan. He went to pull me in to him but I sped forward and went right over to welcome them in. 

Me "Welcome to the sway house guys."

I told Sara and Dan to follow me. I wanted to give them a tour of the house and show them where somethings were at.

Sara "Damn this is where you get to work everyday?"

Me "Well I kind of live here. I'm on call for them round the clock."

I wanted to keep my imagine in the house professional but I knew that, if they both didnt already know, they would eventually find out my personal relationships with everyone in the house. 

Me "But thats where one of you will be coming in. You being here will give me the time to pursue some of my other things that I have going on."

Dan "Like your social media career? Sorry I kind of did some research on you and the house last night."

Sara "I didnt have to do any research. I'm an OG fan of the sway house."

I cringed as she said that, I hated it. I hated the thought of having a fan girl around the house.

Me "Well you won't be here as a fan, you will be here to work. Yes my roll is a little different here but yours will strictly be as an employee and there will always be something for you to do."

Then it was time to take them to meet the boys. We walked to the living room and found Josh, Jaden and Griffin.

Me "Guys these are the two people that we are looking at to hire. This is Sara and Dan."

They all shook hands. I saw Jaden give me this weird look and then I realized why. Bryce came up behind me and wrapped his arm around my waste and pulled me close to him. 

Bryce "What about me babe? Dont I get an introduction?"

I pushed him off of me.

Me "Bryce this is Sara and Dan."

He went over and shook both their hands. Before he could try to make any type of scene I spoke up. 

Me "When are Tayler and Nick going to be here? I would like to get things started."

Jaden "Bub is on a mission today. I promise you guys were not usually this structured."

I started to laugh. He made me realize how much I wasn't acting like myself. I took a deep breath.

Josh "They should be here any minute though."

Just as he was saying it I heard the front door open. Nick and Tayler walked in.

Nick "I hope you guys weren't waiting on us."

Me "Nope, youre here in perfect time. Lets get this going."

I told Dan and Sara to help the boys if they needed it. Although they were going to be hired as medical help they were also going to be here to assist the boys as needed. They started filming and both of them seemed to be fitting in really well. My worries about Sara being too much of a fan girl started to subside. She was acting really professional around all of them. I mean she tried flirting with Jaden a little but he's really good about changing the subject to get away from it.

Everything seemed to be going great. I tried to stay away and just observe. 

Lunch time was approaching fast.

Me "Guys I'm going to get lunch ready, I'll be back."

Dan "Here let me help you. I'm sure its more then a one person job."

Me "That'd be great. Thanks."

We headed for the kitchen. I took this time to get to know Dan a little better. We talked about his background and how he ended up out here in LA. He was a very sweet and humble guy. He was also very easy to talk to. We started to joke around as we got the food together. 

I went to reach up into a cabinet for a bowl and clumsy me slipped and dropped the glass bowl. I tried to catch it before it would break but I was too slow. The glass shattered and I felt some of it hit my face. I went straight to the sink to try to rinse out of eyes. I was worried I may have gotten a piece of glass in my eye.

Dan "Oh shit here come here let me take a look."

Dan came over to me and tilted my head back. He steadied my face with hands and started to look for any glass. But then we both were startled...

Bryce's POV

I was a tad annoyed that Katie was acting distant and pushed me away earlier but I get it. She has to put off a certain type of image for these two. The day was going smoothly though. It was actually really nice to have extra hands around to help us film. We were all just fucking around like we normally do and they both seem to be people that could take jokes. Sara even gave it back to us at times. She was a little spit fire but it was cute. Jaden seemed to have grabbed her attention but typical Jaden cant seem to know how to flirt back. 

We were in the middle of filming a bit when I realized Katie and Dan were no where to be found. I felt that feeling deep down in me. The anger started but I told myself that Katie wouldnt do something like that. I took a deep breath.

Bryce "Hey anyone know where Katie went."

Tayler "I think she said she went to get lunch ready."

Bryce "Okay I'll be back, I just need a drink."

I headed into the house. I know I shouldn't check up on her. I trusted her. I stopped. I was torn now, if I went and checked on her it showed I didnt 100% trust her but I do trust her. I turned around and started to go back outside. I dont need to check up on her. I stopped again. I couldn't shake this feeling. Fuck it I was going to go into the kitchen. 

I walked in and saw them standing close together. His hands cupping her face as she looked up into his eyes. My heart sank...

Bryce "WHAT THE FUCK..."
