My ex-best friend

when I thought back, I couldn't see a single memory where she hadn't needed attention more than me.
My birthday, she insisted on sharing it, my friends, she insisted on taking them, my hobbies, she insisted she was better than me.
My ex-best friend was toxic, and it took me around eleven years for me to notice that. You cant spot someone who's toxic when all your life you've been told she was like your twin, like your sister.
when you can barely remember the first ten years of your life, it's tough to make judgements like that.

But when you finally snap, it's as if all the memories come rushing back to you, like the thing that been blocking it had just compiled all things they did to you, all the pressure your parents put on you to like them.

That day, was the start of my anger issues, however it was also the day that I discovered how much of a superpower anger really is.
The adrenaline rush is surging in your veins and suddenly, all you hear is you and them. Like tunnel vision.

It had happened again later in my life when I was fourteen, this stupid short boy had walked up to me, harassing me. He threatened me and I couldn't help myself.
I took the heel of my hand and the back of his head.
I wasnt reprimanded though, people had heard what happened.
As for my ex-best friend, I havent heard from her since, not a single thing.
Secretly, I think she was too scared to tell.

but after this into, your probably wondering
"how does this relate to The Doctor?"
well. Let me tell you. You see, when The Doctor gets taken from a ship, nobody really blinks an eyelid.
however, when I go missing, it's really a cause for concern. Not for me, but for the people who took me.

They had taken me right from The Doctors arms, while we were on a space shuttle with C/N. And let me say, boy was he not happy, and neither am I.
They had decided against tying me up, thankfully for them, because I had just sharpened my nails.
I was wandering around the back of the ship, which looked like a prison, cage thing.
The corners were dripping with water and the bars were rusted, the lights were dimmed and the only fully working one in the room was flickering.
I paced around the cell, looking for something to do.
I sighed and kicked one of the bars of the cell, watching it bend slightly.
I narrowed my eyes, noticing how malleable the metal was.
I push both sides away from each other and walked around the storage cupboard, picking up a piece of thick rope, wrapping one end around my hand three times to get a good grasp on it, I snuck up behind one of the guys who took me and pulled it around his throat, I twisted the rope and he passed out, I pulled his body through and checked the pockets, finding a pocket knife, some money and a walkie talkie.

I left the walkie talkie and taking both of the other items, walking to the other guy, pulling the rope around his neck and smiling.
"send me back, or I'm sending you to hell"
my eyes were filled with anger and nothing but it, the man nodded nervously and flicked a few levers and pushing a button.

I land with a bounce back on the TARDIS, smiling as The Doctor looked at me, smiling and turning back to
C/N.

I am what my ex-best friend made me.
but I'm getting better.
slowly.
thanks to my new best friend

The Doctor

enjoy!! I had a blast writing this one as it's based off as my own experience, everything about the ex-best friend was true about me and a girl named Violet, the short boy is a boy in my class :)
