station 19: Sullerra (Sullivan and Herrera)

Chapter 13: How Charlotte reacts to Robert being hurt

Station 19 was called to a warehouse fire and it was bad. Charlotte was at school at the time.

At the fire....
Firefighter down I repeat firefighter down Captain Sullivan is down. Jack called over his radio.
Jack, Dean, Ben, and Ripley carried Robert out.

He was unconscious when they put him into the aid car, Andy jumped in with him.
Someone get Charlotte from school and bring her to the hospital. Andy said

Jack and Maya headed to get their goddaughter from high school.

Aunt Maya, uncle Jack what's wrong. Charlotte asked
We got to get you to the hospital sweety. Maya said
Who's hurt. Charlotte asked
Your dad baby and it's bad. Jack said
Charlotte then started to cry.
All three headed to the hospital

All three walked into the hospital and over to where their team was.

Mommy is daddy okay. Charlotte asked in a small voice
No baby hes not hes in surgery at the moment. Andy said
Okay. Charlotte then sat by her mom and cried.

Next five hours flats like forever long.
Mrs. Sullivan. Dr. Grey said
Yes. Andy said
Your husband had to have his lung reinflated, had to have his spleen removed,and also now is in a coma. Dr. Grey said
How long is he supposed to be in the coma. Andy asked
That's up to him when he wants to come out of the coma. Dr. Grey said
Okay. Can we see him. Andy asked
Yes you guys can. Dr. Greys said

Andy and Charlotte walk into Robert's hospital room.
Oh daddy you need to wake up please. Charlotte said
Oh babe she's right you need to wake up please. Andy said

Andy and Charlotte barely left the hospital.

Charlotte was sitting in her dads hospital room with her mom. Waiting for her dad to wake up, Charlotte was fighting on going to sleep not wanting to miss her dad waking up.

Hey baby why dont you try and get some sleep. Andy said
Okay. Wake me up if their is any change with dad. Charlotte said
I will. Andy said
Charlotte went to lay down and try to get some sleep.

About 2 hours into her sleep she started to have a nightmare.
No daddy come back. Charlotte cried in her sleep
Andy walked over to her daughter and woke her up from the dream.
Come on baby wake up. Andy said
Charlotte woke up.

Charlotte started to cry and started to panic.
Baby I need you to calm down your having a panic attack. Follow mommy breathing okay. Andy said
Charlotte copied her moms breathing and started to calm down
Are you okay now. Andy asked
Yeah. Charlotte said
You know your dads really tough he's going to be okay I promise baby. Andy said
I'll believe on that when daddy wakes up from that coma. Charlotte said
Okay baby. Andy said

Andy continued to calm down her daughter from the nightmares and the panic attack for about a week before Robert woke up from his coma.

A week later....
Chatlotte was holding her dads hand and he squeezed her hand. Charlotte was sleep at the time and she had wake up to the movement.

Daddy are you awake. Charlotte asked
Charlotte. Robert said
DADDY!! Charlotte said starling her mom awake
Robert your awake. Andy said
How long have I been out. Robert asked

Charlotte said she looked at her mom and her mom knew that look and what was going to happen in just I few seconds. Charlotte answered with tears in her eyes

About week daddy. Charlotte  said then she took off running out of the hospital room.

what just happened. Robert asked
She had a tough time. Andy said
Yeah I know that but why did she take off running out of the room crying. Robert asked
