Part 5: Chapters 13-15

Chapter 13:
{Hiccup's POV}

It's been hours since Astrid disappeared and I've asked every single villager on the island and they have all said that they haven't seen here.

Maybe she was killed? No she couldn't since she left a note before she disappeared so that means that she left deliberately, but why? This all makes no sense. Did she leave because of what would happen to James and I if he was caught using Witchcraft? No, she wouldn't back out like that.

I walked back into my house and saw James with rings of fire around him.

"James! Stop or you'll get caught!" I stated, worried.

The flames disappeared and James started to look depressed.

"Is mummy ever coming back?" He asked as a tear ran down his face.

I walked up to him and hugged him. "I don't know."

We detached ourselves from each other and stood there silent, until James broke it.

"Can you take me to the forest tonight so I can practice?" He asked.

"Sure, why not." I replied.

James then went to his room and I slouched on the lounge crying. It wasn't very masculine of me but I think everyone would cry if you lost a loved one, right? I just hope she's safe.

️Chapter 14:
{Astrid's POV}

The motion of the waves rocked the boat a little as I was lying there inside. The water was very pretty though; the sun above me made the blue water glisten and bright.

I was able to catch a fish and cook it using the steel reflection of the axe and the sun. It was a really hot day so I was trying to replenish my thirst but everything I did didn't do much to help me.

I was going to die.

The current and the waves started to become more ferocious and I had troubles trying to stay on the boat.

But then.

In the distance, there was another island.

My eyes widened in excitement and I tried to stroke there as quick as I could but in the waters I could see a silhouette of a shark circling me.

I started to panic and as picked up my axe the shark took a massive chomp of the boat, causing it to start sinking. The shark then jumped at me and I sliced it's stomach and dodged his attack.

The shark was hurt, but it wasn't dead.
"Round two buddy, come and get me!" I yelled.

The shark then swam up to me and took another bite of the boat. The boat then fully sank and I was now in the water, in the sharks domain, his territory, where he had the advantage now...

️Chapter 15:
{Hiccup's POV}

James and I started to walk to Stoick's hut. Once we got there I knocked on the door and Stoick was on the other side, and let us in.

My dad's home was very clean but then very messy in some rooms; The kitchen and living room were obviously very clean, the living room had two three-seater lounges on either side and in the middle was a map of the islands around us. The kitchen was mostly all made out of wood, the island bench was made out of birch wood that was smoothed to perfection and the cupboards were made of a more darker type of wood. But when you walk into the bedrooms they are the complete opposite.

"Now Hiccup I've been thinking," Stoick said as we took a seat on the lounges. "If Astrid isn't on the island then she obviously must be in the ocean or on another island."

"Or dead." I stated.

"No," James said. "Mummy wouldn't be dead. She's the strongest mummy I've ever loved. If mummy is in danger then she will always find out a way to get out of it, she always does."

"James has a point, Hiccup," Stoick stated. "And for him to say that then he isn't just an ordinary four year old kid."

Stoick then stood up and walked to the fireplace. "This darn thing never works functionally. I always have to start it up again once the flame goes out."

As Stoick started to try and start a flame, James' fingertip lit up with a fire and he pointed the finger at the fireplace, and then the fireplace suddenly started to burn a flame.

Stoick jumped and and turned around, James quickly made the fire on his fingertip disappear before Stoick turned his head.

"Did you see that?" Stoick asked.

"Umm, no," I replied giving a death stare to James. "But I actually need to get going."

I stood up and walked out of the house with James following me with a big grin on his face, he was starting to control his magic.
