Don't try to coerce your readers by demanding votes/comments.
Spend more words describing sceneries than your character's appearance.
Write and read fanfictions of things other than celebrities.
If (like me) you use fanfictions as a way to practice real writing, take writing them seriously. That includes plots, characters, subtext, character development, sceneries, sentence structure etc etc.
