we both look at the door and see mariano walk in. i quickly get up as he hits my door and rushes out of my house. you run after him.
"hey wait up" i say trying to catch up to him "mariano stop" "what" he says dryly "what's wrong?" i question "now i know why you didn't want me and samy to come over so you could be alone and be the little slut you are"
i step away from him as the words that came out of his mouth replay in my head. my lip quivers and my eyes get glossy.
"i didn't mean that im sorry-" "no i know what you meant" "let's just talk somewhere else okay" "no leave me alone mariano"
you run back inside locking yourself in your room. alejandro wasn't no where to be seen. my mom knocks on my door. I quickly wipe my tears and unlock the door putting on a fake smile.
"you wanna tell me why mariano rushed out and why you're wearing such a short skirt" she says "i didn't invite him to come work with the project with me and alejandro that's all" i lie "mhm okay but why are you wearing that skirt it's really short" she furrows her eyebrows "i'm sorry" i say pulling it down "look i know you wanna change so I'll let you wear what you want just don't take advantage of it okay" i nod
