ROSIE HAD INSISTED ON TANGLED THEMED DECORATIONS FOR HER PARTY. Well, she's not really sure it can be considered a "party" —— it's just the usual three people she's with, plus Kendrick, who's been back home in Maine since August (and, it's really nice to see him again; Rosie hadn't realized how much she missed him until he met up with she and Finn at her favorite pizza parlor for lunch, and she'd lunged herself at him with enough force to send him staggering back a step or two before he was able to embrace her). But, "birthday get together" doesn't exactly have the same ring to it.
Sel and Indy had worked tirelessly on the decorations of the girls' dorm room all morning, and Rosie can honestly say that she's pretty damn impressed. Aside from the princess decorations (and the picture of Eugene Fitzherbert she'd insisted be hung on the wall above her bed, next to her framed acceptance letter to MIT), there's various pictures of Rosie scattered about —— most of which she looks very silly in —— and Sel's bed has been converted into an area for storing all of the birthday presents. Indy had cleared off all of the textbooks, laptops, and pens and pencils from the desks and pushed them together, littering them with arrays of chips and dips and mini cupcakes for the group to grab at. There's a stereo in the corner of the room, the volume just loud enough for the five of them to enjoy, but quiet enough as to not disturb the other students in the dorm. Rosie's music is playing on shuffle, and Sel tries her hardest not to laugh when the sounds of Cell Block Tango encompass the room.
