Alec's Lovely Cure (Jordan Series 2)

Chapter 3

"Alec, man! Where are you now? Daniel and I was already here in UP campus. You're going to be late!"

I'am on my way to UP Diliman main campus when my phone rang. It's Eldon. He's my bestfriend since grade school. And I can't believe that until college days eh kasama ko pa rin ang mokong na toh. Silang dalawa ni Daniel. I'm not that close with Daniel before. But since those two are friends, Daniel became a friend too.

At pareho pa talaga kaming tatlo ng course na kinuha! Engineering. Civil engineering to be exact. All my life I've been trained to be like dad. He's a great engineer and well known business man. He's the current CEO of CJREC. It's expertise are on construction firms, supplies and real estate company.

Since I'm the first born in Jordan's next generation and the only man in the family, dad's expectations towards me are totally on top. He's expecting that I'm gonna follow his steps as an engineer and of course, as a great business man.

That's why aware na ako sa magiging future field of work ko. Dad even told me na dapat daw eh magsimula na akong bumisita sa CJREC this coming days if I'm not busy in school. And I'm really planning for it. During my rest day, which is Saturday and Sunday, I'm gonna accompany him in CJREC then.

But for now, kailangan ko munang makarating ng on time sa UP, Diliman campus or else, malilate ako sa first class ko. Major subject pa naman ang first class ko ngayon. I don't want to make a bad impression on my professor if I'm aiming for highest grade, right?

"I'm on my way, Eldon. Where are you exactly?" I said.

"Were already here in CL- 8. Hurry up, dude. Mayamaya dito na si prof." Eldon said.

"Okay. I'll be there. I'm already at the main gate." I said.

"That's great! You're missing those gorgeous chicks that passed by at the corridor, dude. As in a lot!" Eldon said again.

"Tss. You're such a playboy. Don't get all their numbers yet. Magtira ka ng para sakin." I said.

"Wala na, dude. Nakuha ko na. Ang bagal mo kase." He said.

"Then gave it to me later." I said.

"Seriously, bro? Baka magalit si Elly once she finds out na may ka- textmate kang iba maliban sa kanya."

Eldon said na ikinatawa ko ng sobra. Bakit nasama sa usapan si Elly? That flat chested girl! Ang petite na nga, sobrang bagal pang kumilos! I don't even know her reasons on joining the class of criminology. She said she wanted to be a law enforcer or even NBI agent.  

It doesn't suit her, really! Ang lamya niyang kumilos. She's not even physically fit dahil ang petite niya at mukhang isang ihip na lang ng hangin eh parang kawayan ng tutumba. She got a height, okay. Kaya lang she looks like a living bamboo tree than to look like a woman.

And it's so funny dahil itong si Eldon eh wala ng ginawa since grade school kundi ang tuksuhin ako Kay Elly. Na kesyo in denial lang daw ako kaya hindi ako makaamin- amin about my feelings for Elly. Well, I'm not! Elly is more like a twin sister for me since were on the same age.

We are close like a true siblings coz she's living with us since we were eight. Mom and dad decided to adopt her for good since I'm always looking for her when I'm so depressed and stressed out during my younger years after that traumatic incident from the past happened.

She became someone I can leaned and rely on during that time until I successfully coped up from depression and trauma. Thanks to her, I'm a normal person again. And I'll be forever grateful with her because of that. But it stays that way. We stay like a friend and siblings for so long now.
