Behind The Mask

Chapter 1

Valt's pov

I woke up and realized that I wasn't in my room. I looked around the familiar surrounding and..oh well I'm at the living room. Wait, did I passed out here?

As soon as I get up, my legs suddenly hurts which made me fall. I looked at my legs and saw a big purple bruise. I touched the bruise gently and winced. As I was trying to get up again, I hear a voice.

"Onii-Chan..?"

I turned around and saw Nika and Toko was standing on the stairs looking at me. I gave them a weak smile while they gave me a sad face.

"Are you ok..?" They said. Both of them slowly went down the stairs and walk towards me. I looked at them and give them a smile.

"I'm ok but why are you guys still awake? It's 4 am.." I asked.

Nika and Toko looked at me and grabbed my hands. I hissed. They immediately let go of my hands and looked at each other. I looked at them and patted their head gently. I slowly leaned down and kissed their forehead even though my legs hurt.

" We couldn't sleep...because of the noise last night.."

I tilted my head in confusion, last night..what's happened last night..?

Flashback...

Oh shit! It's 6:02 pm! Mom told me to come home at 6:00 pm! Shit I'm going to die! I quickly ran as fast as I could and quickly opened the door...phew thank god she isn't in the living room. I went inside the house and went upstairs. Suddenly..I heard a voice.

"Didn't I told you to come back at 6:00pm?! What time is it now?!"

I turned around and saw my mom was holding an alcoholic drink. I stepped back a little while looking on the ground. I'm shaking.

"I'm sorry..I didn't check my phone I-"

Before I could finish, my so called "mom" suddenly throw her drink at me but I dodged, which make her more furious. She grabbed my hair and pulled me to the living room. Then she pushed me and started beating me. She punched me in the stomach and kicked me in the balls. She grabbed my face and punched it as hard as she could.

"Go die you piece of shit! Why are you even born?!?!"

My mom keep punching and kicking me. Tears started to form in my eyes as I felt the pain in every part of my body but I know if I complain, it would get more worse.

"You don't deserve to live! Just go die! No one love you! Even Nika and Toko hates you!"

No,that's not true..Toko and Nika loves me..right? Suddenly I saw two figures on the stairs..

Toko and Nika..

They was on the stairs..looking at me. They must be disappointed for having a weak brother like me. I looked at them and they scared. I give them a weak smile before I blacked out.

End of the flashback

"Onii-Chan.." Nika says while grabbing my finger gently.

I looked at her and saw she was crying while Toko is looking at the ground. I kneeled down and wiped Nika's tears. Then I lifted up Toko's chin and kissed his forehead. Both of them smiled.
