With only the sunlight
Shining through small cracks in the wall;
Like opening an unknown door,
As the first syllables sweep you away.

If the first line would create the grassy fields,
Then the second would make it a meadow of flowers;
A Palace out of paragraphs for you to dance in,
Words disguised as butterflies fluttering behind.

Be it a castle or the coast,
A mighty soldier or a witty thief,
The fierce dragon or the curious poet;
Wish for only happily-ever-afters with me.

The last of words fill the blanks,
A lingering bitter sweetness left on the tongue.
Two simple words as the tale comes to a close;
'The End'.
