Season 8 Episode 1 - A Terrible Father

In the meeting room at The Sanctuary Lilly Otto is sitting in Negan's previous chair at the head of the table as Dwight, Chrissy and Troy and Kim and Arat and Laura are sitting around the table. Dwight says "We need to go on supply runs, we are running low on food" and Lilly nods and says "Alright, I'll organise that" Lilly looks around at everyone around the table and says "Alright guys it's been a stress free year, but for a year Negan has been locked up in Rick's cell...its time to go and get him back" and Arat asks "I dont understand, it's been a year. Why didnt you get Negan when he first got locked up? Why now?" Lilly tilts her head to the side as she looks at Arat and says "Because that's what Rick was expecting. But if we go all in now, Rick wont be expecting that" and Laura says "I think it's a waste of time" and Lilly slams her hand down on the table and Lilly says "Rick wont be expecting us, now we are going to go to  Alexandria and rescue Negan has anybody got a problem with that?!" Everybody looks down avoiding Lilly's gaze and Lilly stands up and nods knowingly and says "That's what I thought. Meetings over! Get the fuck back to work" and everybody nods and stands up and leaves the table.

Jason is outside playing when a girl who is around his age gets pushed to the ground by three older boys around 14 and they the bullying trio laugh at her. Jason sadly looks at the girl and he runs over to her and pushes back the bullies and says "Are you okay?" The girl looks down avoiding eye contact with Jason. Jason looks up at the three sniggering boys and says "Why did you do that? You shouldn't have hurt her!" The boy in the middle laughs and grabs ahold of Jason's top and says "You want to get hurt?! Cause I will!" A older woman rushes over and she says panically "Lyle let him go!" Lyle looks at the woman and says "No Mom, I'm gonna teach this little punk a lesson!" Lyle's Mother says "Do you know who that is? His name is Jason Trairon! Lilly's Son!" Lyle's face drops and he releases his grip on Jason and Lyle and his Mother and his two friends rush off. Jason looks down at the hurt little girl and asks "Are you okay? I'm Jason" Jason takes ahold of the girls hand and says "I'm fine thank you Jason...I'm Sally" and Jason smiles softly at her.

Negan is sitting on the bed inside his cell when Rick walks in. Negan rolls his eyes and asks "What do you want?" Rick puts down a tray and says "I brought you food" Negan glares at Rick who's smirking smugly at Negan. Rick says "Lilly hasn't appeared...from what I hear shes dead" Negan looks at Rick with a hurt expression across his face and says "No" Rick says "I'm not too sure though but Your Daughter and The Saviours have been very quiet, I mean they haven't even made an appearance to save you, and that must sting. I always thought that you and Lilly were close but she leaves you all alone to rot in a cell after everything you've been through that's pretty shitty, you must have been a terrible Father for her to turn her back on you" and Rick chuckles and walks off leaving Negan alone. Negan paces up and down in the cell and he punches the stone cold wall and screams in pain.

Lilly and Troy are laying in bed and are kissing as their lips lock, Troy roams his hands through Lilly's silky long brown hair. Troy rolls off of Lilly and Troy wraps his arm around Lilly and Lilly holds Troy's hand. Troy asks "So when do you plan to head out to Alexandria?" Lilly says "In the morning. I gotta save my Dad, I miss him and Jase misses him" and Troy nods. Jacob begins to cry and Lilly gets out of bed and walks towards a cot and lifts Jacob up and cradles him and coos "Its okay Jakey, My Baby Boy...Mommy's here" and Troy stares ahead. Lilly turns to look at her Husband and cocks her head to the side and asks "You okay Baby?" Troy nods and looks at Lilly breaking out of his trance and says "Yeah Gorgeous I'm fine" and Lilly lays Jacob down back inside his cot and covers him up with a blanket and says "Convince me" Troy sits up straight in bed and says "I got something to tell you, I found out something before that fight with Rick" Lilly puts her hands on her hips and asks "Well what is it Troy? It sounds serious" and Troy nods and says "It is". Lilly looks at Troy as Troy swings his legs around the side of the bed and sits on the edge of the bed and looks at Troy. "Jason and Meghan's Dad...they didnt die because of walkers" Lilly shakes her head and says "Yeah they did, My Dad said they were attacked by walkers and didnt make it out" Troy looks at Lilly and says "Negan lied" and Lilly says "That makes no sense, My Dad wouldnt lie. He's never lied to me in my whole life...why would he lie?" Troy deeply sighs and says "Cause he was the one who killed them" Lilly scoffs in disbelief and says "No! That's not true. Why would My Dad kill them?!" Jacob stirs in his sleep and Lilly strokes her fingers across the side of Jacob's face causing Jacob to fall back into a sound sleep. Troy stands up and says "I worked it out, Negan threatened me saying he would kill me. So I figured it out I confronted him and he didnt deny it" and Lilly looks in shock and she says "I need air" and she walks towards the door and Troy grasps hold of Lilly's forearm and Lilly spins around and faces Troy and she slaps Troy across the face causing Troy's head to jerk to the side and she points her finger in his face and says with anger in her voice and venom across her face "You should've told me!" and Lilly storms out of the room and slams the door shut causing Jacob and Lucy to start crying.
