Surf crush (discontinued; literally please don't read this)

Chapter 1:

Y/n is a 17 year old girl who is from England. You originally lived in the U.S. until two years ago when you had to move due to your dads job. Then there's y/n's two best friends whom you've never met in person, just online. Their names are Roxy (16) from the Netherlands, and Emme (17) from the U.S.

Y/n, Roxy, and Emme all met online and you always wanted to meet each other. So now was your chance.

Y/n on the phone with Roxy and Emme:

Roxy: "So I think we should plan a trip so we can meet each other"
Emme: "omg yess that sounds amazing!!"
Roxy: "where should we go?"
Y/n: "AUSTRALIA" you say screaming through the phone with excitement
"YESS" Roxy and Emme say in unison
Y/n "I've always wanted to learn to surf, so we should go somewhere near a beach"
Roxy: "Me too! And maybe we'll meet a cute surfer boy while we're there hehe" she teases
Emme: "How about Melbourne"
Y/n: "yes that sounds good"
Roxy: "okay I'll look at plane tickets and book a flight!"

*Two weeks later*

On the phone with Roxy and Emme

Roxy: "are you guys excited to actually meet each other for the first time ever in real life??"
Emme: "yes I can't wait"
Y/n: "me neither!" You say with extreme excitement in your voice
Roxy: "okay talk to y'all tomorrow!"
"Okay bye!" Y/n and Emme say together

*Your mom drives you to the airport*

Y/n outfit

Mom: "listen sweetie, your dad and I feel like your mature enough to go on your own but we still want you to be safe and remember-"
"Yes I know mom, don't take rides from strangers, don't make dumb choices, and be safe" you say cutting her off as she's already been over this with you a million times. Your mom laughs as she knows you already know this but she just wants to remind you "I love you, have so much fun! I'll see you in two months" She says as you arrive at the airport.
"By mom love you too" you say while hugging her and rolling your bags into the airport to check in.

*your 21 hour flight is taking off*

Nerves fill you and you get butterflies thinking about seeing your two best friends for the first time.

You're sitting at the window seat and next to you is a nice boy that looks around your age

boy next to you: "So what are you going to Australia for?" He asked with an Aussie accent
Y/n: "I'm going to see my two best friends. I've never met them before. Just online. One is from the U.S. and the other is from the Netherlands" you say overly excited as you realize you've over shared.
boy next to you:"Oh that's super cool! Where in Australia are you staying?"
Y/n: "Melbourne" you reply
boy next to you: "No way! That's where I live! Do you surf at all?" He reply's
Y/n: "Whoa what are the odds?! And no, I don't surf, but we're going to learn"
Boy next to you: "Oh you guys should come out with my two friends and me and maybe we could teach you guys!"
Y/n: "Yeah that sounds so fun! Oh and what's your name?"
Boy next to you: "I'm Jake" he says with a smile "and you are?"
Y/n: "I'm y/n" you say smiling back
*you don't find Jake attractive but you know Roxy will*
Y/n and Jake exchange phone numbers so you can meet up in Melbourne. Then you sit back with your headphones in for the rest of the flight

*you finally land in Australia*

you get off the plane and order an Uber to take you to the Airbnb you're staying at*

Uber driver: "Hi are you y/n?"
Y/n: "yes I am!"
Uber driver: "awesome! I'm mark, let me take your bags"
*he takes your bags as you get in the car and then he drives you to your Airbnb*
You're flight left earlier than Roxy and Emme so you'll be the first to arrive

*You both make small talk and explain what you're in Australia for.*

*you arrive at the Airbnb and mark helps you take your bags inside*

The Airbnb you're staying at

Mark: "well have a nice trip" he says as he gets back in his car
Y/n: "thank you, you too" you realize what you've just said and you both chuckle

Y/n: "ugh I don't know how much longer I can wait. The nerves are filling in my stomach" you say to yourself as you plop down onto the bed. You start unpacking and hear a knock at the door

"Who is at the door?" You wonder.
