Basic info: built in Scotland as a flag ship to show the abilities that the Clyde had to offer. HMS Hoodless is apart of a three ship battle group consisting of HMS Hoodless, HMS Thunderstruck and HMS Dalriada. These two battleships are a mix of current and WW2 equipment as it was decided to be given a 'old fashioned' look. HMS Hoodless was the only one of its class to be fitted with special semi-automatic 80cm guns (when the barrel recoiled it was hooked onto a catch, then another round would be pushed into place) but both Hoodless and Dalriada discharge the empty shells into the sea to reduce weight and throw off submarines (Sometimes they would collect them again and use them as pots for cooking).
