"Marvelous plan, wasn't it?" Graves paced around, "I always hated the Ministry, especially that Fawley. And Picquery. They're quite stupid enough not to recognize Grindelwald in my disguise."
"So it's some personal threat?" Tina grunted, "So, great. We will have to suffer for some personal issues between you and the Ministry".
"It's more than just that, Goldstein. You, of course, are oblivious to the truth even if it were to be shoved up inside your nose" Graves snorted, "It's power, Goldstein. Grindelwald might've taught me a few things or two when he claimed my identity. There isn't good or evil. There's only power and the others, who are too weak to seek it".
Tina remained silent.
"I want to finish off what he started" Graves began, "Conquering wizardkind in America and Europe. And so far, I've gotten hold of every single half-breed in the whole universe!"
"Half breed?"
"Trolls, werewolves, elves, goblins, you name it" Graves said, "Pretty smart, huh? They never suspect a good old former MACUSA employee in the werewolf attacks, don't they?"
"No" Tina shook her head, "I can't believe you'd do that! You out of all people!"
"It's always the people whom we least expected" he snarled, "Firstly I take down the Ministry and everyone associated with it".
"By killing them?" Tina almost had tears in her eyes.
"You're going to need a lot of sacrifices if you want to assume the throne of power" Graves said.
"Shut up" Tina demanded
"And now I have you. The biggest of all my pawns" Graves snickered, continuing, "Of course, I could've kidnapped someone else, maybe one of those half-witted Scamander brothers or your sister. But you're far more useful".
"You're going to kill me" Tina concluded.
Graves laughed, "You've worked in MACUSA and in the Rio Ministry. Briefly worked in the Parisian Ministry. Now you've applied a job in the Ministry of Magic. You know the workings of all of them inside out".
"And what makes you think I'd want to help you?" Tina bore a smug expression just to irritate her former boss.
"Because you aren't like the rest of the others. You play by the rules" Graves chuckled, "I'll give you a moment's time to settle in. Perhaps you'll learn to behave".
Tina had a horrible guess that Graves knew her weakness. Was he going to force her into working for him? Nevertheless Tina knew she had to get out as fast as possible and alert the Ministry.
"Where's Tina?" Newt and Jacob entered the latter's apartment. Queenie was still in bed, groaning and growing weaker, groaning and grunting. Her stomach was literally equivalent to a rollercoaster ride.
"I dunno. She went to the apothecary to fetch some medicines" Queenie grunted, "I don't know where she is. She left at ten".
"It's been an hour" Jacob noticed the clock. It showed quarter past eleven, "Where is she?"
"We'll check on her. Perhaps she took a wrong turn" Newt decided, but he hardly thought Tina would be in some kind of danger. How is it life-threatening to go and fetch some medicines? Nevertheless, he suspected Tina must've lost her way.
"Jacob" Newt said, "Stay here and take care of Queenie--"
"No!" Queenie retorted, "I can manage! Go get her. I'm worried sick. If this is some prank, I'm killing her. My hormones are running wild! Just. . . get her, okay? I'm really scared. I just have this gut feeling that she could be in danger"
