Chapter 28: "Encountering a Certain Uchiha"

Narrator pov

The sky wasn't as clear as it should be...It was cloudy and it was raining cats and dogs...It was like the sky was crying...Nearly all of Konoha shinobi was gathered at a certain place for The Third Hokage funeral and all of the fallen ninjas. Sobs filled the room mostly coming from Naruko and Konohamaru. Naruko's legs gave up on her and she was sobbing loudly with Konohamaru hugging her and Kakashi having a hand on her shoulder. Sasuke watched in guilt as his former sunshine teammate was letting all of her feelings out. He never knew she cared that much about the third Hokage and it was sad seeing her like this. Sakura thought the same Naruko was a best friend to her she was always smiling and cheering people up but seeing her in this state broke her heart. "J-Jiji why d-did you h-have to g-go now!" She sobbed loudly with Konohamaru by her side.

Naruko turned to her side on her bed and looked over at her alarm clock as it was ticking slowly. "11:30..." she thought while pulling the covers over her head. It's been a week since old mans funeral and the village was in panic to rebuild some of the village and trying to find a new Hokage to take his place. Naruko sighed loudly while getting out of bed and getting dressed putting her hair in her Usual pigtails. She opened her door to find..."Pervy Sage???" She said gasping loudly finding the old pervert on her doorstep. "I thought you were out of the village???" Jiraiya looked at her and scratched the back of his head. "Ah well the council called me over here trying to make me the 5th Hokage and well that's not really my style..." He said giggling awkwardly. "I can't even imagine a old pervert like you running a village..." Naruko muttered grumbly. Jiraiya looked at her sad. "Your still upset about his death huh?" He said making Naruko slouch a bit. "You have no idea Dattebayo..." she muttered again. "Anyway they want me to go look for my former teammate for her to become hokage and I wanted you to come with me-" before he could finish Naruko quickly shut her door and 5 minutes later she reopened it dressed and had a backpack on grinning widely. "What are we waiting for???" She said happily making Jiraiya smile.

Naruko tugged on her backpack handle as her and Jiraiya headed towards the leaf village gates but unaware their were two rouge ninjas looking for her well not specifically her but the thing inside of her...

"Sasuke!" Sakura yelled seeing Sasuke walking down the street. "What is it Sakura?" Sasuke asked kinda concerned because she didn't refer to him as "Sasuke Kun". "It's about Kakashi and Naruko!" She said out of breath making Sasuke's eyes widen. "Some shark guy and a Uchiha hurt Kakashi and is looking for Naruko!" She yelled in a panic. Sasuke felt like the world was crashing down on him Itachi is after Naruko?!. Without hesitation Sasuke sped off searching for all the obvious places Naruko will be. "Old man!" Sasuke yelled while peeking his head into Ichiraku. "Did Naruko come by today?!" Teuchi thought about it for a little. "Ah yes she did with Master Jiraiya." Teuchi replied. "Jiraiya?" Sasuke said in Unison. "Yes Jiraiya one of the legendary Sanin they were talking about leaving the village to go to a small village a little farther from the leaf." Teuchi replied. Sasuke then ran out of Ichiraku and headed for the Konoha gates. "Naruko..." Sasuke thought picturing her smiling face. He then blocked it off and remembered the night of the massacre. "I'm coming for you Itachi!" He thought angrily.

"Can't believe Pervy Sage left me for a women like what kind of sensei ttbayo!?!" Naruko thought angrily huffing. She then heard a knock at the door. "Most likely the Perv" She thought while going to answer the door. She unlocked it and looked up to see a pretty tall guy with a Sharingan glowing. Naruko widen her eyes in shock staring at the man for a long time. Naruko read about the massacre and only Sasuke was left alive so who is this. "Naruko Uzumaki..." He said very stern making her flinch. A shark guy stepped up being him with a big sword and smirked. "Can't believe this little girl is holding the nine tails." Naruko glared at him. "What's it to you fish?" She said making the guy look at her surprised. "Girls got guts." He said while taking his sword off his back and pointing it to her inches away from her face. "You think ima be scared of a sword wrapped in bandages Dattebayo?" Naruko said looking at the shark bored. "Hmm Itachi this girl is really arrogant why don't we chop off a leg incase she tries to put up a fight." Kisame said smirking. "Put up a fight? I mean he's not wrong- wait put up a fight for what?" Naruko thought suspiciously. "Alright what do you guys want and how do you know I have a tailed beast in me?" Naruko asked leaning on the door. "And how are you a Uchiha?" She pointed a finger at the dude with the Sharingan. "Naruko Uzumaki...I'm afraid your coming with us." The dude with the Sharingan replied. "Huh?!" She gasped like a fish. "BRAT, THESE WORTHLESS HUMANS ARE TRYING TO EXTRACT ME!" A voice boomed within her said. "Kyuubi?" She said in my mind without getting a reply. "Ok Naruko breathe it's obvious I can't beat this guy my skills are on a low chunin level..." she thought observing the guys. "They have to be in a jounin level but how am I supposed to get away?" Before she could think more the guy with the Sharingan spoke up. "It's been a while." He said making her confused. She turned her head to the direction behind him and there stood Sasuke panting. "Itachi Uchiha..." Sasuke said when he finally gained his breath. Sasuke's Sharingan was glowing in his eyes with anger. "Hmm Itachi I thought the whole Uchiha clan was massacred by you..So who is this kid." The shark guy spoke up. "Massacred by him?" Naruko thought turning to Itachi. "Kisame...he's my...little brother." Itachi replied shocking Naruko. "Sasuke whole clan was massacred by his brother..." Naruko thought sadly. "I hope your ready to die Itachi!" Sasuke yelled making Naruko flinch. "Sasuke can't kill him now! He isn't even close to his level he needs to let go of his revenge for a little while and actually think! Itachi killed his clan to test his skill..." Naruko memorized in her brain. "Surely that can't be the reason! Itachi was in the Anbu for Kami sake! He couldn't of did it for that right?" Before Naruko could react the shark guy swung his sword at her legs. She closed her eyes for impact but it never came. She opened her eyes to a toad blocking the sword. Naruko looked back to see Pervy Sage behind her holding a women on his shoulder. "Did I miss something?" He said smugly. "Jeez Pervy Sage you like to be a perv at the worse times Dattebayo." Naruko said crossing her arms. "I would appreciate if you didn't call me that in public."  Jiraiya said awkwardly. "Not my fault your a perv ttbayo." She replied crossing her arms. "Heh." The shark guy laughed looking at Jiraiya. "I mean it's hard to believe you fell for a simple trick like that! Hard to believe your one of the legendary sanin!" Jiraiya set the women down on the wall and glared at the man. "Enough!" Sasuke yelled getting everyone's attention. "I've been waiting for this moment for years..." Sasuke put his hand on his arm and blue lightning chakra came out. "Don't get in my way!" He yelled running towards Itachi. Itachi easily grabbed his hand. He easily gripped it making Sasuke scream in pain. Naruko stared in horror. "Alright!" I thought putting my hands together and red chakra started to come from my seal. I cut my finger and did handsigns. "Summoning jutsu-" "Too slow!" Kisame sword came down and ate up Naruko's chakra making her flinch and jump back from him. "D-Don't..." Sasuke said getting up. "Sasuke-" Naruko tried to say but was held back by Jiraiya. "Go away you don't interest me at the moment." Itachi said looking at Sasuke. "WELL GET INTERESTED!" Sasuke yelled in attempt to punch Itachi but Itachi kicked Sasuke into the back wall. "Sasuke!" Naruko said with tears in her eyes. "Mind your own business Naruko!" Sasuke yelled back at her while tears were flowing down her whiskered cheeks. "This is between me and him no one else! I've waited for this day for years and nobody is gonna ruin it for me!" Sasuke continued to run to Itachi only to be punched in the face and sent back flying into the wall. Tears were still flowing from Naruko's cheeks and she put her hand over her mouth to try and stop it. Jiraiya looked at his former student in guilt the Uchiha meant that much to her. Jiraiya tried to step up but Kisame blocked him off with his sword. Itachi walked over to Sasuke and stood in-front of him. "I'LL KILL YOU-" he started before Itachi punched him in the stomach again and kicked his chin causing him to cough up blood and fall to the ground. "What have I been doing all these years?" Sasuke thought while looking up at Itachi. Itachi picked up Sasuke from his collar and pinned him against the wall. "You don't have enough hate." He said. "And you never will." Itachi put Sasuke in a GenJutsu and Sasuke started to scream. "STOP!" Naruko yelled before golden chains shot out from her back and wrapped Kisame and Itachi up. "What is this?" Kisame said examining the chains. Itachi just stared at Naruko as she walked up to a unconscious Sasuke and hugged him to her chest glaring at the two males. She winced as the chains went back into her back releasing both of the males. "My that is one interesting jutsu." Kisame said smirking. Before the males could say something else the hallway started to change into flesh covering the whole hallway. Jiraiya stood up from the ground and grinned. Itachi looked around and looked at his partner. "Amaterasu." Is all he said before black flames made a whole in the flesh and both males jumped out. "Damn." Jiraiya said before walking up to Naruko with a unconscious Sasuke in her arms. She looked up at Jiraiya with tears in her eyes. "What did he do to him Dattebayo?" She said chocking in tears. Jiraiya stomped his foot and the flesh went away. Before Jiraiya could say something else someone hopped in from the whole and kicked Jiraiya in the face. "oh sorry I was enthusiastic and in a hurry and I didn't see that well!" Gai said scratching the back of his head. "Gai Sensei..." Naruko said coming up to him with Sasuke in her arms. "Can you take him back to the leaf please..." Gai sensei looked at the Uchiha and nodded his head before taking him from her arms and jumping out the whole. Naruko wiped the tears that were running down her cheeks as Jiraiya put a hand on her shoulder. "Cheer up Gaki he'll be fine." He said reassuring her. "I just wish he wasn't so obsessed with revenge and think about the situation." She replied looking down at the floor.
