I watched as your eyes traveled to my ravaged arms. Concern and love taking prominence in your eyes;only to be shadowed by surprise and guilt.
I saw your sideways glance. The thoughtful expression that revealed your curiosity.
I heard your soft gasp. The, almost, inaudible sound that showed you truly realized how far I'd gone.
I saw the shock drown your features.
You hadn't seen me in so long, but that didn't matter because you still saw me for who I was; while the world sees me for who i am.
The me you knew, is gone. The person I am now, murdered the innocence of playgrounds and dreams.
A childhood lost.
The way you look at me, makes me believe that everything will be okay.
Your smile, shines brighter than the headlights that guide my way.
Your charm, can bewitch even the darkest of people.
And your eyes. Your eyes glow with kindnesses and sympathy.
The unexplainable love that drowns you is impossible to miss.
I miss you.
But I can keep going because I know your smile is always there, even if it isn't on me.
