『Chapter 3 | L 』

I'm so stupid!!!

Ahhh!! I know for a fact light and Misa will kill me soon beacuse of my answer!

But...I also know that light wants to use me so he can create his 'new world' which won't exist anyway. He wants to use me so he can't get caught.

I went downstairs and stood.

"Thank you Mrs. Yagami!" I said to her and closed the door

I said my answer and left light's room. I cannot look at light's eyes anymore including my own sister.

I know light will kill me soon...if he liked he would killed me today...or tommorow....or hopefully a year.

What should I do!? I stood below a lamppost. The only one that was on.

"Layla.."

I turned around. Uh? Nobody's there...

Wait I recognize that voice! But could it be!?

I looked back in front of me and saw watari.

"We need your help" he asked me

"of course anything" I said

We walked back to L's secret base which only watari and me know.

We entered. Like always its dark.

"Hello, Layla of course you might have heard of kira correct?" he asked me

"of course" I said calmly.

"I would like you to invistagate anything you can find thins out. but for tonight its to late." L said

"yes L ill do my best!" I said. the whole way back home I thought about what I should do..

 You must think what am I going to do? Simple tell him what I know. I don't want Light or misa to kill innocent people. I did that mistake but I didn't over due it...

~flashback~

why must I keep killing to survive. I cried in my room by myself. I looked at my sister. She was sleeping quietly in her bed. I sighed. She must not know of this..ever.. "hey...Ruby.." I said

"yes layla" ruby the shinigami told me as she reached for some strawberry pocky.

"Will you take the death note" I said

Ruby took it as a surprise. "huh? but don't you like to murder people?" ruby said

"No. The death note does. The death note will not take over me and use me." I said

"I lost track of what life really is...its beautiful and I almost took it for granted..i don't want my little sister to suffer the same way.." I said

Ruby looked at me.

"I will do what you requested. but Layla due to all those who lives you murdered...they will be the ones who kill you and your family. Misa wont be safe forever.

"I know..but..for now she will..." I said smiling at her.

"Be carful with misa..she has this same strength as you and could use it the same way you used it." Ruby told me one last thing and left.

Wait...I didn't forget! why! ruby!!!!!!!

Oh yea...inside me I was crying for many years. I didn't kill many...I killed thousandths.....for one year...

I am a monster.

and as long as I have those memories I will remember I am one.

I don't want to remember..

As I kept walking tears fell in my eyes.

I touched my tears.

and for a moment I saw the tears red the color of murder , the color of blood.

What have I done in my past...
