You were so hot, and the air was absolutely freezing. It was a bad contrast against each other. You felt too hot to get comfortable whatsoever but whenever you moved freezing cold air would wash over you, but no matter how much you felt a chill it still did not quench your fever in any way.

Your head was hurting, and you barely had enough strength to reach your hand up and lightly feel your head. It felt like you were on fire, you actually had to bring your hand away after a second.

You had no strength to do anything though, you could only lay there and suffer silently. Writhing ever so slightly as you whimpered and panted with deep heavy breaths. You needed to drink something so badly, your throat was so dry. But you could not reach the pitcher Varem had left for you, you could not even reach the bell to call him.

You felt so utterly helpless, and you still were so afraid that the undead creature would show up again. Varem kept insisting that nothing had happened and that it was all just a nightmare. You could not be so sure though.

All of it was just too real to be a nightmare, you had felt the frost freezing you in place, you felt the pain of your eyelids being ripped open, you felt the pain of your heart thundering madly against your chest, suffocating you.

How could that have just been a nightmare? What little though mentality you had shifted towards the door as light poured in. Varem Squeezed through the gap and held his candle up a tad bit higher so he could see you better.

You could barely see the pained expression that he got when seeing you. He quickly walked over to you, setting his candle down next to the water pitcher, before bringing a cold wet rag up and lying it gently on your forehead.

You whimpered louder as a bolt of shock raced down your spine all the way into your fingertips. You felt his cold hands pet down your head.

" Its ok Y/N, this will help with your fever." His soft voice reached your ears. You really did not know about that, it seemed like nothing would help with this.

It did though, with something cold directly on your forehead you were able to cool down slightly and get at least somewhat comfortable. You were able to relax your mind and not focus on how bothered your entire being was. Sleep was now finally closing in on your brain.

" Sleep now Y/N, I will get you something to eat when you wake up." but it sounded far away, and you did not even register the cold feeling of his lips gently on your cheek, you barely heard the sound of the door open and close as he left quietly.

Then, it was all gone, the war of hot and cold on your body, the ache in your head. It all dissipated as sleep was leading you away from consciousness.

It felt like you had been sleeping for an eternity, or just a few seconds when your eyes opened again, noting the dark green glow in the room that lit up the edges of the furniture and let you see your breath in the frigid air.

Wait... This was all too familiar. You sat bolt upright, whimpering in irritation and lightheadedness when your fever returned to you as strong as it was before you fell asleep.

You brought a hand to your head and weakly tugged the blanket off of your body, Lowering your shakey feet to the ground where they met with ice-cold stone.

A jolt ran through your body, but you were more concerned about the fact that the last time the air was so cold and there was a dim green glow everywhere... and undead monster Kidnapped you, sucked the soul out of Mason and snatched Amanda away.

You had to get to Varem, You had to get to hi and let him know what was going on before the thing took you all. You stumbled over to the door, moving in a jagged zig-zag line as you could not get your balance straight.
