Beastboy's P.O.V

Raven where are you? I thought hopelessly.

Once again she had dissappeared, slipped through my grasp.

I sat, alone. All I could think of was her. She's consumed my every thought. I love her so much, but all I've done has pushed her away.

If I hadn't been so stupid she would still be here. None of this would have happened.

I leaned over the ground and used my animal senses. The faint smell of Raven still lingered there.

She smelled so good.

I had to find her.

I focused on the other smell, trying to identify it, my face dripping with sweat.

Then I had it. It all made sense now. How could I have been so blind.

Not again. I thought, biting my lip.

Why can't he just leave her alone?

I had a hunch which way they went though. I just hoped I was right.

Upon arriving, Raven's scent washed over me. Along with his. Still fresh. It was practically everywhere.

I knew this was the right place.

That's a good sign.

I entered his 'lair' skeptically, ready for anything. Slade was sitting there, looking smug.

What is he so cheery about? I thought, wanting to make him pay for whatever he did.

I scanned the room, searching for Raven. She could be anywhere.

But she was nowhere to be found. I glared at him.

"Ah, I was wondering when you would finally get here."

He was expecting me?

"Where is she?"

"Why do you care?"

"Because!" I growled, staring straight at him. I was going to get answers. One way or another.

"She won't be of any use to you now."

"What have you done to her?"

"I haven't done anything. You know, I should thank you. None of this would be possible without you."

"What do you mean?"

"I think we both know what I'm talking about."

I gasped. Was whatever ever happend to Raven really all my fault?

"I'll save her!"

"How can you save her when she's already gone?"

He motioned to a dark figure, lying in the far corner of the room. The second I looked at her, even in the darkness, I knew it was Raven.

A small light appeared in the corner.

I could see her clearly now.

She was lying limply on the ground, her face wet with tears. Her eyes had glazed over completely.

"Raven!" I yelled.

"She can't hear you." Slade said snickering.

He was right. It was like she didn't even see me.

No! I won't let this happen. She's going to be okay.

I ran over to her and kneeled down, scooping her into my arms gently.
