I always wanted to be just like you
I'd chase you round and round
Til your face turned blue
From tellin me to just leave you be
But I couldn't
Because you're the greatest person in
the world to me
I remember when we shared that space
And we'd stay up late
Just to conversate about
All the things we wanted in life
We just couldn't wait
Now we're miles apart
And I can't sleep by myself in the dark
And whenever I start to fall asleep I wish I could hear your voice talking to me
That's the part that sucks the most
We used to be so close
Now all this distance makes it nearly impossible
For us to catch each other on the phone
So at night when I close my eyes
I thank God and cry
For blessing me
With a sister who
Loves her sweet iced tea
