       OK, SO ALITA CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH — she didn't mean to inherit the dozen-centuries' worth of genetically engineered magical abilities from her great-great-great-great grandmother. She didn't know that speaking with the dead was abnormal until her mother had been forced to explain it to her after Alita had been caught (accidentally!) performing a Necromancy ritual, smack-dab in the center of London. Needless to say, she now knows that being able to speak with the dead is not normal.

OKAY, AND! — Alita did not mean to fall for her very best childhood friend in her fourth year at Hogwarts simply because of the way he looked in a black suit (shout out to Minerva Mcgonagall for hosting that Honor Roll dinner!). However, if there's anything life has taught her, it's that she's not crazy for admiring Percy Weasley in a suit, not in any way — perhaps it's because she agrees with that notion to this day, or perhaps it's because she'd also caught Penelope Clearwater admiring Percy in that suit, but Alita won't talk about that last bit.

       HERE'S THE ISSUE — Alita is well aware that she's far too busy for a little crush, or to be fretting over whether Percy Weasley (her best friend!) is currently single or not, or to be doing anything other than thinking about her future in her final year at Hogwarts, but it seems that her heart simply can't listen to logic.

       AND SO, in her final year at Hogwarts, Alita has decided that she is going to get over Percy Fucking Weasley, if it's the last thing she ever does. With very false positivity, and a dear hope that something will work out right for her, Alita heads off into her last year at the beloved school, a girl with a mission to end this ridiculous, childish phase of her life.

       But what she comes out as? Oh, only time will tell.
